Hey everyone,

I have come after a long hiatus with two more skins! I have been floating ideas around and just never got around to getting something I like. After some experimenting I ended up liking how the glows worked on Midna so I decided to make up a skin using the effects. As always I'll have the skin ready in the MEGA at a later date. On another note, because I still have the link for the custom skins in this forum, I will also update that post. I'm putting the latest new skin so that so that if you have missed any, or wondering if there are any new ones, it will be there as well.

Cheers!

* Also feel free to edit my stuff or try your hand at your own skins using mine. I don't mind. Just throw me a credit or shout out if you do so I can see what you have made!

* If there are any issue please let me know!

Crazy question! But has anyone had any luck getting the VR version of this to work in Linux? And if so! What did you do to get it to launch?

It sucks that Crusch Lulu doesn't have custom skin support. I really want to make a Gex skin for her. Started making one but it's not supported in 2.2.1 and doesn't work in 1.9.5 either so that's not happening yet.

I can test this later. I run Windows 10 and Linux Nobara. (I can always test other flavors) I think the difficulty with running this in VR on Linux will come from two things: 1 the use of UnityPlayer.dll since there's a special way you have to handle .dll plugins in Linux. 2. It's a game based on Unity. This used to be flawless and every Unity game would run flawless on Linux for me but as of 2024 it's been the opposite where Unity Games wont run for me now. Don't know why but I need to get to the bottom of it.

you can always use texture replacer.....
like i do wen i want something impossible to make....

try this also included the skins for purah from:
https://f95zone.to/threads/gallery-of-ambitious-talents-v2-2-1-goat-vr.127600/post-15238478
you need to press F12 for changing texture!!!

salut

edit:
Snap1.jpg
looks like her texture names are pretty generic...
so be careful than these can go conflict with other girls than use a similar set....

edit2:
this is my bepinex backup for 2.2.1....
you also need these 2 files below to works...ops

also you have to add "_" at the END to any new textures you want to use/make inside
\BepInEx\plugins\ModImages\Select
like:
C_Body to C_Body_

Started working on making an Arbok skin for Viper2 last night. Going to do some experiments and may make replications of other characters as well. Was thinking about trying to make skins of possibly Nisha (bluedingo), Shandi (spottythecheetah), and maybe some other snake ladies. Let me know if anyone has more ideas for snake characters.

Let me know if you figure it out. I run into the error at the bottom when trying to launch. I've tried GE and Experimental.

Funny enough, I also get a similar error in proton logs for steam titles too. Honestly. The VR issues are the only thing keeping me from completely removing windows. lol And I have d3dcompiler_47, dxvk, vcrun2019, dotnet40, mf, ucrtbase2019 and winhttp

Popup error

Without MF I was dieing on this error in proton too. So it's clearly needed.

err:msvcrt:_wassert (L"!status",L"../src-vrclient/vrcompositor_manual.c",1287)

On The latest Nobara Linux (Fedora based) I tried running Goat through Wine, Bottles (With and without .dll), Non steam game shortcut in steam using the last 3 versions of proton as well as GE versions, and from within steam vr in Steam VR Home on my Vive. No dice it wont even run in normal mode. I'm going to try testing it on Linux Mint sometime since I remember running Unity games on Mint a while back.

Oh! I was able to get it to launch without issue's as long as it's not VR on Ubuntu. But I also run an AMD GPU so if you're running Nvidia that might be why we had different results there. No clue.

GREAT NEWS! Just got it running in desktop mode on my Nobara 40 Linux install. I'm using Lutris with Wine as it's runner. GE Proton 9-11 is working perfectly. My Unity games seem to be working again with this configuration. I tried this before but I think maybe Nobara had to update to fix something. Here's hoping I'll be back in a bit to report it working in VR. That would be amazing. I'm running Nvidia driver version 565.57.01 with an EVGA Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080 8GB SC for future reference.

EDIT: Haven't made any progress on the VR mode yet. Tried running in Steam as a non-steam game, compatiblity with Proton GE 9-11, and even adding -vrmode. All I got was a flicker of the steam window on my Steam Home in my Vive headset and then it didn't work. My next test will be seeing if I can run a generic appid through lutris using Steam as a runner.
