I found the jump crystals to be hard to use, to the point where i was genuinely getting pissed off by them. It doesnt help that, as far as i personally feel, we barely got any content for the length of time we were made to wait.It is honestly impressive how bad the platforming is in this game. Like they even screw up the basics like "don't introduce 2 mechanics at the same time". Like the double jump crystals seem to only work with perfect presses, so they add fading platforms on top of trying to learn that timing? Then jumping immediately to advanced forms of said puzzles (strings of double jumps followed by strings of fading platforms) immediately after dumping the mechanic on you? Mixed with the lack of checkpoints meaning you have to do the entire screen over again makes me wonder if the dev even actually plays the levels or just cheats through them.
Also, unless its just me, the controls feel like they have gotten more janky which does not help with the platforming.
This game has really good art and animations, yet seems to have traded it for dogshit gameplay and im honestly so sad about that.
Also there is a bug where if you immediately talk to a person right after ending your previous talk (and possibly any form of interaction that involves text) you get stuck without being able to input any buttons and you'll have to exit to the main menu, i experienced this like 6 times throughout the game. How this managed to get by play testers is beyond me.
At least we got the update, though. I was starting to feel that they were about to start the death spiral of continually delaying the update forever
