Seeking Games with "dynamic ally defeat and rescue"

There's a similar thread on ULMF that received pretty much zero attention.

I can't think of any games that fit this, but I'm quite interested in the idea now? Unfortunately, I'm sure there are not many games fitting this concept.

To quote that poster:

To expand on the title of the thread, I'm looking for one or multiple games, preferably 3d action games, platformers, or action rpgs, with the following:
- The ability to rescue characters from capture by villains in order to make them into allies;
- Villains being able to capture your allies again if you're careless and they get defeated;
- Your allies' ordeal is visible in real time as you keep playing, perhaps to rescue them, and the more abuse they go through the less loyal they get;
- Genuine difficulty and decent gameplay.

They listed two games that fit the description:

I'm aware of a few other games with a similar mechanic (just a brief "ally capturing" thing) but it's not really the same:

  • It's fine, but there's not a lot of content in the gameplay loop besides watching the degradation slowly happen every so often.
  • I expect the other games from Makura Cover Soft, like Leane of Evil Blade or Dungeon Bride to have similar content
