Too bad, the dev was trying some interesting and ambitious things here, but motivation is a fickle beast and I wouldn't want them to try to force out a product in spite of it. Saying "I no longer enjoy doing this" is really all the reason you need.

Given 5.0 has issues like the office bug, does anyone have download links to the previous stable version? Or would it be as simple as just downloading the 4.2 to 4.3 patch and using that html with the 5.0 files?
Hopefully some good samaritans put up a bug fixed version for what looks like it will be the final release of a very solid game, but would be nice to have a work around.

The thing before .repeat is registering as undefined (instead of an object that has repeat)
And the .repeat error is inside <<if ....>>, that is also inside <<choices>>...<</choices>>
Cant upload the version I fixed. But if you want to fix the office. Find the string:
if $tasks.festival4 != undefined || $festival.repeat == true
and replace it with
if $tasks.festival4 != undefined || (def $festival && $festival.repeat == true)
if $tasks.festival4 != undefined || $festival.repeat == true
and replace it with
if $tasks.festival4 != undefined || (def $festival && $festival.repeat == true)
Can confirm this works, at least for the first error I ran into (when Megan wants you to open the management app on the computer)
For anyone confused on how to do this fix, right click the Gateway.html file inside the main folder, and click 'edit in notepad' (or notepad++ if you have it)
Then ctrl+F search for this if $tasks.festival4 != undefined || $festival.repeat == true
Once you've found it, copy this if $tasks.festival4 != undefined || (def $festival && $festival.repeat == true)
And just paste over the original entry that you found with the ctrl+F search. Make sure to leave any surrounding characters in the line and only delete the exact code that was highlighted when you did the search.

I had thought that was just describing what the bug was, not the actual fix, thanks!!!That is the office fix I posted. Basically I changed the check to check if festival is defined, and if it is, only then will it check the status.
Its the only instance using .repeat that I found, but I wouldn't be surprised if there are other unsafe checks in the code.

However there are wonderful people that if they find bugs or errors they post the fix if they find it. all I did was upload one of the fixes. I'm hoping it works the way it should
I'm pretty sure there was a spot in game where it said no preg content ever, which is a shame because this game would be awesome with preg content.

Wish the thread hadn't done away with the previous version given this last release is incomplete and has bugs.
Only bug I noticed was the office one, if you find more point them out and I'll see if I can fix em.
Really liked this game and had posted several errors and fixes for them in this thread.
Will do another playthrough later to see if I run into anything game breaking.
