Anyone have any idea how to fix this one? It happens every time I mouse over a person in a work slot in the management part of the office.

I've reached the "Festival" quest, completed some parts of it, and now when the MC goes to sleep, an error appears:

Error: <<if>>: bad conditional expression in <<if>> clause: can't access property "helped", State.variables.festival.harley is undefined

and I cant progress.
Maybe anyone know how to fix it?

Well Crap

Could you DM me exactly where the problem is what stage of the festival this error occurred maybe I can find it then. I just don't have a lot of knowledge yet.

Just learned that you may need to try loading a save prior to the Festival and try again Talking to some Twine geniuses right now on discord lol

It sems that a save that doesn't have the object i added will still project the same error this is the reason for starting the festival over with the hotfix

Does anyone have a save from a new playthrough of Version 5.0 so that we can find and fix the errors that are happening around the Office and festival. If so please post this for me we want to get this version bug free for you.

Try this since the save won't download for me open it in Notepad++ or something like that and at the very end of the last line add this without quotes"==" the last line should look like this

Well I'm trying to speed through to that getting ready to go East maybe I'' find the error soon. But I am unable to read the save and no one has been able to tell me how to read it without loading it in game.

What do you mean? You can load from this save file. Save it on disk, run the game, click "SAVES", click "Load from disk" button in the bottom and choose this save file.

Make sure to Save any Data line you are replacing incase it doesn't work so you can put it back the way it was.

Try this replace this

With this
