Not sure if this is the right subsection to ask, but I didn't see an appropriate one...
about ten days ago, I decided to create a page on

, just to realize that my page needs to be "reviewed and approved" first.

Connecting my official twitter account Should speed up the process (or so they say...), BUT, after reaching this page:


I click on Sign in, and it just reload the same page, doing Nothing.

I've sent them Multiple emails, pointing out the problem and stating that to prove my authenticity , that I am who I say I am, I've linked my subscribestar page on my Twitter bio;

still Zero answer.

I've checked if there are other ways to contact them, but there are None, I mean, there is a twitter page which I don't even know if it's real, but they didn't answer either so...

Is there a more "direct" way to contact them?
Discord maybe?

I seriously don't know what to do.

While I'm super small time, and only sent them one email, I've never even been approved myself.
I've had my profile waiting to be approved since Nov 2021. I also never heard back from the email I sent last year.
Maybe it's something I've been doing wrong, but if you find the magic bullet that gets you greenlit, please tell me.
Otherwise, cross your fingers lol.

Known issue. Two years ago when I set up my own SubStar account it took them "only" two days. Nowadays I know it takes much more time. They are a reliable service once you set up your account, but for some reason extremely lazy and lethargic when taking new customers.

Well I have been waiting for over 3 months now, still haven't been approved. They did reply to me once, saying that I should build up my fan base first. Well, my fan base has grown slightly over these 3 months. I'm not sure if it's enough, but they haven't replied to me ever since.

Oh I put it there because that's kinda what SubscribeStar demands while your account is under review, that you put links to your SubscribeStar account in different places. It is not a functional account. So if you click my link, you will see my account is under review, and you can't subscribe to it.

Yeah, you can start to link the page around, but noone will be able to subscribe, and the message "This page is under review" is in plain sight.

It's like we are too unimportant for them to care. I mean, why? Patreon is much bigger than SubscribeStar but they don't have such a ridiculous process to get an account running.

I mean, it never crossed my mind to do such thing, so I don't know. But I really doubt that both Twitter and Facebook don't have an "invited" kind of API that significantly limits what can be done, while still providing an easy access to generic information.

But in this case, never do twitter/facebook integration.

Same. Every website/platform that involves payment will verify your identity, but SubscribeStar is doing a particularly bad job at it, mainly because, this is not the verification part. They have already verified who you are before this step. This is just an extra step that nobody does.

They do have one advantage over their competitors, and it's the only advantage they have, that is they don't restrict what content you make, or at least not as much. As I discussed with somebody, Patreon's restrictions are ridiculous. No one bans incest in fiction. It's not even controversial. No one even complains about incest in fiction. But Patreon has to be the first one in the world to ban it.

Patreon bans it because paypal bans it. As rumours go, apparently there's already trouble between patreon & paypal with regards to NSFW content but it's just a rumour. Subscribestar doesn't accept paypal because they'd be banned from it immediately.

Edit; Paypal is like the mafia of payment processors, they're disgusting. They'll sieze your account and not pay you the balance on a whim. The sooner they're killed off and replaced, the better. If I was american I'd be checking out things like Venmo/Cashapp/Zelle and seeing what kind of service they can provide.

They're purposefully vague for exactly that reason. As for Patreons extra rules on top, if I had to guess it's just to make things easier for themselves so they don't have paypal breathing down their neck. Maybe they worked out a deal where they allowed them to use animated pornography with stipulations?

They're a scary company to be on the bad side of, they genuinely don't give a fuck. They removed Pornhub (

) when they had the drama about underaged content too and they'd be pulling magnitudes more cash through paypal than patreon.

Anyways, I don't wanna defend paypal or patreon, far from it. The whole thing is diseased.
