You can circumvent everything on steam by simply doing it like Kagura does it: Locking everything sex-related in a patch, and hosting this patch off-steam for buyers to download after they buy the game on steam.
Kagura been doing this for a long-ass time and their games have everything you can imagine kink-wise and steam has 0 problems with them precisely because of how they're pulling it off.

Well thank you for the detailed information. I was not informed enough on this. I just saw a piece of news, but I didn't know that it was not implemented. Good news. Well, if it's only due to underage content, they could always just ban that. I don't understand how the restrictions extended to incest, rape, or whatever. Certainly there are lots of real porn that have these themes, of course not real incest or rape.

They banned it as a 'fuck you' for causing trouble, the game was obviously made to troll Steam after they started allowing porn.
Have even looked at the game? I was probably made in 3 days and I'm not sure if it was actually rendered or just screenshots from the viewport.

Yeah I know the art is terrible. It being banned wasn't a loss to anyone. It's just that I thought that meant games with such themes can not be sold on Steam.

Steam doesn't really care about the content as long as it's not lolis and the developer doesn't try to be sneaky about it, they have zero tolerance for people lying about lewd content and many devs got perma-banned for trying to hide stuff (like the good ol' 5000 demon loli trick).

Because regarding Patreon the pressure from the payment processors was initially targeting prostitution. Then someone warned them about the fictional incest, rape, etc, but without necessarily pointing out that it was fictional.
In the end, on one side you have payment processors that order for the removal of prostitution, and the removal of incest/rape/bestiality/underage content believing that there's real life case for them. And on the other side you have Patreon that can difficulty say, "alright, but we keep it when it's fictional".
As you said, in porn movies incest, loli and rape are rarely real, therefore they are fictional... If the pressure weren't initially targeting prostitution, I guess that Patreon would have had some room to negotiate, because for both parties everything would have been seen as purely virtual. But with the prostitution, it put everything on the reality side, and when you're talking with someone who think that you host porn movies involving minors, what can you answer without looking suspicious ?
