Steam? Didn't they ban "Rape Day"? That was actually my first time of hearing VN porn. I remember reading a news article about it, and that the developer said he would find other ways of publishing his game. Of course, there were the covid effect, but it works both side ; there were more people spending time and money on the site, and also more people wanting to make an OnlyFans page because of their income cuts. The actual global crisis while perhaps have a negative effect on the first, but it will have a positive effect on the second, what will counterbalance ; more offer always mean more customers, they'll spent less, but be more numerous to spend money.
Therefore, my guess is that, if they are effectively still in search for investors, they target those who don't have a vice clause, and are patiently waiting for them. Meanwhile, they are, more or less actively, promoting their none porn content, in order to reassure those future investors regarding the site viability.

As for the payment processors, like they were part of the 2021 pressure, and it was not directly due to the porn, but to the underage content, there isn't much worry to have from this side. Moderation rules have changes, and among the ~1,000 employees OnlyFans have, near to 80% are dedicated to moderation and supports. It's one, if not the, highest rate for such platform. Patreon had to face the same problem, and goes for the same solution, ensuring the ban of the effectively illegal content. It's been more than four years now, and they are still allowing porn and still have the supports from the major payment processors.

Yeah I know the art is terrible. It being banned wasn't a loss to anyone. It's just that I thought that meant games with such themes can not be sold on Steam.

Steam doesn't really care about the content as long as it's not lolis and the developer doesn't try to be sneaky about it, they have zero tolerance for people lying about lewd content and many devs got perma-banned for trying to hide stuff (like the good ol' 5000 demon loli trick).

Because regarding Patreon the pressure from the payment processors was initially targeting prostitution. Then someone warned them about the fictional incest, rape, etc, but without necessarily pointing out that it was fictional.
In the end, on one side you have payment processors that order for the removal of prostitution, and the removal of incest/rape/bestiality/underage content believing that there's real life case for them. And on the other side you have Patreon that can difficulty say, "alright, but we keep it when it's fictional".
