Heya! Just wanted to drop by after forgetting this thread existed while I was looking at my Watched threads, and the bondage framework mod is pretty exquisite for quenching my pleas of some nitpicks in the base game. For example:
- The fact that the slave collars stay on and you have to struggle out of them is fitting and just what I wanted. Bonus points for keeping them on the party members outside of battle, compared to them being removed after a fight ends
- The Hypnotists having more of a threat with twice the moves and them being able to afflict Afflictions (mind the redundancy) and having the Thrall affliction force them to wear the slutty outfit like in the bad end (best part of this mod IMO) is the bomb. I know this is similar in Giannan Trek for the Slave Trader, whether you choose or not, to also don the respective outfits, but maybe you can also work something out here in a similar fashion with the Sea Market too? The entire idea of having an outfit match up with any kind of mind-control/possession setup pushes a lot of buttons for me, I dunno.
- Lust now playing a more threatening role in a game where too many afflictions make it easier to lose a party member, even on vanilla, non-Passion dependent setups.
- Some equipment pieces now showing in the character portraits and menu busts.
...plus many other things I have not seen...
yet.
On the flip side, I did want to comment on some things I have noticed...
- Is the ability to remove afflictions tied to only the first 3 heroines? I have not found a way for the Draining Witch when the option is enabled for any of the rest of the cast to be selected.
- Following the last point, I noticed that the Hypnotists, when a heroine is Mesmerized, apply a random affliction. When removing said affliction with the Draining Witch, is it random or does it go in order of importance according to the Affliction submenu inside the Skills menu, or is it random? I mostly mention this since I want to keep the Thrall affliction but if it goes in sequence, then I can't be mad since it makes sense (after all, the description says that the victim's mind is dominated and as such is forced to act in that manner). If there is a workaround, I'd love to hear it.
- The game lags more intensely than before. Not game-breakingly bad, but it halts cutscenes and dialog for more than half a second without fail. On a related sidenote, I've noticed that when a party member faints and I have less than 4 active members but more than 4 in total, their icon cycles between the party order once a turn is completed. Not sure if that is a side effect of the mod or if the game is calculating variables or numbers too much and as such causes it to lag. Just throwing it out there.
- The full bust mod not showcasing the entire model, even when naked or having other equipment. Might be a quirk of the mod itself pulling from the game's assets and not from the bondage framework perhaps? Total downer, especially for the aforementioned outfits.
All in all, I'm fairly pleased with the framework, but the real kicker for me is that both mods have something I like, and I know there may be no way for both of them to co-exist (can confirm, I tried loading both Giannan Trek and this one, and it seemed that the former one took over, secluding the content of the latter). Maybe one day perhaps? Cheers!
