Yeah, Madea's whole shtick is "slow burn romance" as it says on her character page someone posted a while back (the kemono link) but it's definitely a slow burn like boiling a pot of water with a candle kinda slow.

You know, I like this game very much, I love it, but recently I had a bit of a horrifying epiphany.
At this rate... I'm not confident it'll ever be finished, and worse, there's no incentive to finish it. I realized I kind of hate games that are funded by constant patreon donations because it incentivizes the creator to never finish it, like YandereDev. Why finish the game and cut off your funding when you can just keep adding new girls with ever-increasing branching paths, and not put any of that money towards hiring people to help program or write to increase the amount of updates per month, and instead just keep things at a trickle, with a steady guaranteed $400 every month+more?
When this game first came out, there were only 9 official girls- at 3 an update it'd only be 3 months to get each one's route expanded and then repeat. Now there are 20 guaranteed routes, because there's the mermaid lady and the queen- not counting the twins, Helga, and the multiple other aquatic giantesses there will likely be in the underwater kingdom. It went from 33% of the giantesses being updated a month to just 15%- that percentage gets a bit wonky with sponsored updates of course, but my point is that at this rate, there's no incentive to ever finish this game- it's been out for three years and at this pace of updates, excepting if they just get burnt out or bored and give it a rushed ending it'll be updating for another three years. I really hope I'm wrong, though.

I said almost this exact take months ago and got blasted for it in the thread. Also they pull a lot more than $400 a month. Add a zero my guy. Its why I unsubbed. I knew that those doing the highest tiers drove the game no matter what polls told the dev, it was just a suggestion. Just look at how each update has a "sponsor" for which routes to do.

I don't know but it makes me think that Diula has a deep dark fantasy of digesting/absorbing or imprisoning the MC inside her body so he'll always be with her.

Tbh I'm waiting for Our girl Diula finally be able to get plenty of snacks when we find out who is instigating the war. I'd like to shift her to be open to going "weapon mode" to "protecc, attacc, and snacc" Kinda want to see her grow bigger than the totally-not-Yggdrasil tree in the main village too. Wish we got more from above/side POV of them getting huge.

Related to the whole $$$ coming in, you'd think they'd have done that at least ONCE when characters grow to a bigger size being anything than just looking at the character sprite be resized by now and just moved up and down. I can't recall of any of the scenes that is anything other than a CG with slight variations that comes to mind. I don't have the artistic talent so not much I can say as it being "lazy" without sounding petty, but man... would be nice.

You may also haven't noticed, but there are no 25m tall thicc grils walking around in your town, right? So maybe, just maybe, these things are not the same?

The concern is valid, I too am not entirely pleased with the content being spread so thinly between so many routes.
But the amount of the content being regularly released is actually very commendable. Most other devs could never reach such a productivity rate.
Not even talking about the consistent quality of the content itself.

I see. Though I was trying to say that if we need to know what thoughts author actually put in his work, asking him would be the only way. It's not always necessary ofc, any of us can see different things in the same story, and may or may not use analogues with the real world.

For me it matters if the story, even in fantastic setting, was written just for fun, like GG, or was trying to make allusions with the reality or written under the influence of actual problems during that time period. For example, Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury was written under the influence of the paranoia brought by Cold war.
The writer was concerned, that mass surveillance and an attempt to eliminate communism empathizers among artists would do a lot of harm to further culture development.
That is why I can easily say that burning down libraries and supressing free thinking is wrong there, because these ideas were brought by the author himself, reflected the reality, and I generally agree to them.

And at the same if I read how Kendra, for example, destroys neutral towns, I will say, that killing is wrong, but still can try to find out what are her motives of doing this, that will not make me a fascist or a justifier of her actions. I don't need to compare it to S III Ohrdruf or something like that, there is no point.
