To answer the question of filling the barrel, there is a river in the center of town. Apparently you're supposed to get a glass bottle from the store nearby and fill it at the geyser in the river. Then you can pour the water into the bucket and progress.

and i have to say .... yes you are right
i only translate the game but all the issue that you said is true
but keep in mind that the creator made this game for his small story that he made while
he is 16-17 year old ( yes he is that young )
and while focusing in his study he just had fun to make the game
he made it free and made it in his free time
yes the game system is not so great and there is alot issue
but guess what he coded the game himself and its kinda his first time doing it

to be fair i dont know if the game issue will be fixed later or not
but just remember that
he have study to focus on and he made the game
with his artist friend in their free time
he didnt and will not ask for money as its a free game in the first place of all this
but thank to point the game issue

I'm at a loss of what to do. I rescued Roy, waited two days and paid their medical bills. Then I went and did the machine city quest (did I break sequence?) and was told to go to the Demon City. But I have no idea where or how.

I tried to make one but yes i fuked it up so i am not gonna do another try unless the creator make another update
also if you die alot try to use save edit online site to tweak your stat alittle ( yes that is a cheat but it help alot ( why b.c bosses are not balanced ) so yeh give it a try )
