After you leave home/school there is some content but most of it revolves around Pavlosk as far as I have seen so far.

If you have made "friends" with anyone there is usually an option to eat and drink in their kitchen fridge for free. Uncle Shulgin is good for that.

Shulgins DANGEROUS unless you don't care abt your reputation getting trashed and Willpower stat getting razed down to a permanent max of 50. Dan is especially dangerous, tho even Vasily is a jerk.

Thanks for all the replies. Not sure that I want to take the easy way out and turn off the game features.

Oh, it's not an all or nothing option. You can basically choose to deactivate tons of things separately. For reference, I usually leave hunger active, but turn off thirst. And weight gain/loss is a separate option even from that. Sometimes I deactivate that, just so I don't have to resize my clothes every couple of weeks because of changing measurements. Given how many different systems you need to keep track of in this game, I'd say it's perfectly fine if some people decide to just deactivate some that they don't enjoy.

But I'll probably do the cursed schoolgirl story the next time that I pick up this game.

You definitely should. That's the mode with the most content, including magic training and spells, and some more weird but very fun stuff Though you can also just ignore most (not sure if all?) of the magic content and play the game like a perfectly normal person.

Most of the gopnik guys are (the girls not so much), which is kinda the point I guess. I mean that Niko story arc is just... all sorts of messed up. But it's a fairly short route towards the slut path, which arguably is quite fun to play

Quick question - when installing for the first time, do I need to only download the Full Game(v0.8) MEGA file, or all of the separate image packs below also?

The 'Full Game(v0.8)' is all you need. 'Optional Hair Color Pack' just add some more pics for hair color and the rest are for if you have had older versions and want to update.

It happens. Often, once it triggers.
You probably have to have other stuff happen w/them first, dropping you below a certain bar. That, or clothing may be a factor.

Is your hair long enough? Use the cheat menu to check+increase its length and give it another go.

They should be long enough. If I remember correctly the length required for scrunchies is 80. My hair length is 90. I also tried to slowly increment it all the way to 200 but to no avail. The option did not appear.

What I've noticed, however, is that with hair length <80 (79 to be precise) the option to updo my hair with hair accessories no longer work. The option is there but clicking it simply reload the page with no effect. The option to updo should be available with hair length at least 40.

EDIT: I've just realized that I have not mentioned that I'm playing the 0.8.1 dev build.

Apparently, it started to work after I bought another set of scrunchies.

There are four drug dealers I have found so far. One at the flats where you live, one at the city train stations (can be at any of them) one in the park sometimes in City, one in the drug den in the residential area of the city.
