Is there a way to easily change start types rather than actually fully restarting? I know that might sound stupid and would probably break stuff but for getting to different content quicker it would be nice. When I do a new save I always have to spend a few minutes cheating some stats and items.
Nope. The only way to do it is to manually change stats, skills, relations, and appearance entries one by one. And even that would almost certainly result in some issues.

My approach is to maintain a startup file for every variation I might be interested in playing. Change stats/skills/appearance as befit the theme. Cheat in some money and buy the clothes/items/etc. that is appropriate. Then setup wardrobe, workout, and bathroom routine. Then save as Start_[theme name]. It's a bit of work, 10 minutes a pop, but it means you won't have to be bothered by it in the future.

I have essentially the same approach. Except it's only one file because I only ever do computer geek start

No and that is be design, the game is designed where you can't do everything on every playthru and that is becoming more and more true all the time as we make more and more content. For example there is no way to experience all the cool kid, jock, nerd and gopnik content in a single playthrough. As more of the NPC's have their own story arcs, some will not be willing to share so you can't date more than one of them at a time. As we get to the post jobs after the Uni, you will have to pick which job you want etc.

so I was trying to get a car but get told I need a driving license... only issue is I have absolutely no idea where a driving school is in the game to get one. And I'm almost certain I checked every single area.

edit: nevermind... found it at the "community center"

i can try to make it a bit clearer. go into your wardrobe, then use the buttons to filter out "sports" and "school" clothes. put together an outfit with the matching pieces (sports shoes are obviously marked, but for the school uniform, anything goes). once you're wearing a school outfit or sports outfit, you can go into your wardrobe, click on the "Saved Outfit Sets" button on the top, then pick any of the empty rows and click on the "Overwrite" button. i've found that if you give the outfit a specific name (i named mine "school" and "sport" respectively, for each of the outfits), a new button at the end of the row will show up to indicate whether or not it's your default outfit for that category. it could simply be using what "category" of clothing you're actually wearing instead of going off of the name, but that's how i always do it.

On the mod page, click on cheat and font, then on Cheat (set ibizatest to 1).
It will trigger the first meet with Erik when you go at the nightclub.
(You need your Sveta got a certain lvl of sluttiness, dont remember the minimal value).

sluttiness? Does this mean fame or inhibition? Where do I check it?

I still hope they give the mother some content with the PC, just feels weird not to do it when you have scenes with brother, stepfather, sister, real father and then leave the mother out of it completely.
I believe the abandoned Brother stand alone Mod had it. If you want it, then extract the mother stuff from it, and update that material into an ingame mod for the current version. Then anybody who wants it can play it.
