Not sure where to share this and maybe a reupload but posting here. Have found 2 bugs in the new 9.6.1 version

1. When changing outfits via the wardrobe saved preset interface, it no longer plays the video at path : images/pc/activities/misc/dress_1.mp4
This video used to play in the previous versions whenever changing outfits.

2.After saving a custom outfit on wardrobe save outfits interface, while trying to put on any outfit other than the sports one, it would give a message saying the outfit is too tight and needs to be fixed. The same dress can however be put on manually from the currently equipped clothes tab

PS: Is there any way to view the html code while the game is running? Previous qsp player 1.9.something had that option. This new on3, 5.9.3 does not have it
1. Works fine for me.There is something on your side.

2. Dont have that problem could be a bug.

3. Idk which player you use but the one i use has it html view in it. i bet you use a wrong player and thats why the video mby dont show up.

Try to use this one and check if that bug still accours.

It seems the latest versions, 5.x.x are all not working. The version you uploaded worked.
Thanks!

I don't know if it's just me or not, but after the v0.9.6.1 update the game started to crash at any point in the game
It most likely isn't the code. I haven't experienced any crashes with the new version and I've played it a lot.

There's a known issue with the QQSP Player and AMD video cards. If you're using an AMD video card it has known driver issues with it's OpenGL implementation. A workaround was posted a few pages back or you can switch to using the Infinity QSP player by Infinite (if you're using Windows). A player posted a workaround that's roughly 3 posts below this link.

Edit: Issue appears to be with all videos playing. No video loads and when testing video from the main screen, again no video shows.
How to fix this?
What QSP Player are you using? If you're using QQSP 1.9.0 64-bit it has codec issues and may not play videos reliably. Switch to QQSP 1.9 32-bit newest version or the Infinity QSP Player by Infinite. Both of these players will play 100% of the videos in the game.

I tried all three and they all have the same thing. Yes, I have AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor 3.59 GHz
I'm playing v0.9.6 for now, it works fine

might be worth stating which amd cards and if ye hae the latest drivers, because qsp runs fine on rdna 3 and 3.5 gen.

I switched to whichever version was provided by kingdom1947. After that video is loading. Will update on whether the bug with saved outfits being too tight to wear is still there.

AMD CPUs don't have the issue, just AMD Video Cards (graphics adapter).

Most modern day graphics cards share the same driver base with just minor differences between them. So I'm guessing the issue is widespread with most AMD video cards. It's recommended to use the latest video card driver regardless if your using Nvidia, AMD, or Intel.

the program just closes, I think it's because of a problem launching the video
I don't understand what's so difficult about using one of the two recommended QSP Players. Most other QSP Players won't work or play all the videos.

The crashes are mostly attritbuted to those using AMD Video cards. Try the latest driver and if that doesn't work then switch to the Infinity QSP Player by Infinite. There was also a workaround posted by another player a few pages back. You can get both of these players in the link I posted earlier.

amd cpus could be an issue, because since zen 3 they have integrated gpu for diagnostics unless ye disable in uefi. so my question is rather than saying all amd is bad how about actually figuring out what the fuck is wrong. it is sloppy practice and downright lazy to blame something without getting all the necessary information such as os, version o' software, version o' drivers, what hardware and so on. i hae just tried qsp on an old amd firepro circa 2016-2017 with nae issues.

it is all the more pertinent as it is a opengl issue and for some older cards amd stopped dev work (pre-rdna) on those ages ago and to be fair, amds opengl prior to rdna was nae great. something that could affect it also affect it is ram, especially fer apus.

Girl Life pro tip: Make a secondary Save file at the beginning of the game when you get to the Glossary Tutorial, run a second Qpsp.exe and keep it off to the side refer back to quickly.

EDIT: I'm afraid to think about how many hours I've played and replayed this game :X

I tried both Infinity QSP Player and Qqsp-1.9.0, and both crash. I have the latest drivers installed. I noticed this because crashes happen very often v0.9.6.1. For many hours of playing v0.9.6, it crashed only once

We know it's an issue by the number of people who have reported crashes with AMD video cards using the QQSP QSP Player. I never said AMD was bad, you made that up. We don't know which AMD cards are affected specifically. There's nothing wrong with informing players of a potential issue. Not all AMD video card users are affected. Not everyone with an AMD video card experiences the problem.

What you're saying is ridiculous. Your saying that I'm not allowed to help and warn players unless I do a comprehensive analysis of all data by numerous users and determine exactly who is affected and who isn't. If you followed the forum closely you would have seen the pattern. Other players on this forum have drawn a similar conclusion. I'm not the first person to have noticed the problem and informed players about it.

What have you done to help with this issue? Nothing. You're a developer for this game, I'm not. You're good at criticizing others who are trying to help.

onion_guy narrowed the issue down to AMD's OpenGL implementation. So when the QQSP player plays a video, it can potentially crash the game.

you misrepresent what i said, i was a engineer by trade and saying something is fucked is nae any use without data tae back that up and all we hae is amd and opengl, but what amd gpu, what kind o' system, what os we hae none o' so without that it is meaningless noise to try and fix even if it is possible. amd massive overhauled its drivers wi' rnda chipset, and fixed much o' the opengl issues so are we talking pre-rnda or post? are we talking about linux or windows, as linux has several variants of opengl/opencl and so on.

this was nae a dig at yersel' as such but more o' making a point in trying to do root cause analysis, something all good coders and engineers should be doing as a matter o' course.
