It's dead. The creator held for about 4-5 months then the procrastination plague got to him just like 40-50% of other developers, very dangerous stuff...

Maybe. Seems like he's dealing with physical and mental issues. Hope he works it it. In the meantime, I just keep it on my watch list and hope at some point we see an update. If not, Que sera, sera... Whatever will be, will be.
-The futures not ours to see, but we can conclude on the past behaviour tho.

Yes, dev posted once in the thread after months of no news anywhere, saying "not abandoned, I was sick goddamnit f95 !!"
Then posted once on Patreon saying health issues yadda yadda the usual, then nothing

Dev says back in June of last year they were promising monthly updates after "life issues". Didn't managed that or anything close to it. The updates after were bare bones for less than 2 months.
Vanishes in August to December from every platform without a single word while being "sick" despite going 3 months without saying as much (You were sick for 3 months straight? Did your hands also break to be unable to update people giving you money?). Shows back up and claims their game isn't abandoned, then immediately vanished again for 4 months with the typical no word.
Clock running for time number 3 they show up to tell us why they vanished for months without a word while gladly taking our money (I stopped supporting back in September when they vanished again with no word)

Back in 2023 I called him.. but everyone disagreed with me, worshiping this idiot dev.
I had played this game a long time ago, and I played it again. The game had a lot of potential and was stopped. From what I saw, the developer only gave any news in December. That's a long time, we're almost halfway through this year. He came to let me know that the game is not abandoned, but I'm sorry, someone who goes months without talking and when he does, doesn't give any deadline or monthly feedback on the progress, some teaser of something to show that he's doing something, is kidding me. Where is this not abandoned? I totally understand if it's mental and physical health together, only those who have it know, but it's better to be more honest, because I believe he didn't pause his Patreon, even with few subscribers, some money must be lost every month without any return for the payers other than excuses.
