Logging in as a guest will be the only available option in 0.1. In 0.2 you'll be able to authorize via Patreon. Patrons with earlier access will be able to login earlier. When we start our own website you'll be able to subscribe there instead of Patreon and the game will have three options: Patreon, Sandlust and guest. I'll tell you more about the options then. You won't have to worry about losing your achievements or bonuses you get from Patreon/Sandlust subscriptions.

This login process looks suspicious as hell, I'm guessing they'll use it for a strict DRM protection (online only) to block pirating/cracking, because some essential files will be only on their server. If they're determined to block, pirating full game is not possible with an online only solution.

Probably I'm wrong, but if I'm right, then some customers will suffer greatly because of this kind of DRM.

I'm not interested in this game, but still curious about development process, it will be interesting to observe it.

No reason to cry about this. BB had it much more restrictive. On a technical note DS is much much better than most devs we have that's for sure. I wonder how main menu looks like as it's like face of a game and good impression is important.

I think piracy is the best advertisement for these kind of games. Implementing DRM isn't worth the time and effort, because pirates will always find a way and it'll only hurt your sales.

Maybe that is why he is going for the "Sandlust" login via his own homepage as well as the "Patreon" login.

He could in theory put all the the data (including incest) in the game files but the incest parts would not show if you login with Patreon status.
That might be a way to get around the patreon rules.

But this is just speculation.

I doubt he will risk anything with incest until he's on Patreon. I wouldn't expect anything except for voyeur with family members for quite a long time. Personally I hope he will focus on other characters so we can choose and actually play it like a sandbox.

Your right, I played BB for about a month until i came across F95 for the first time, a month later he scratched the authentication process, I'm not sure if the crack had anything to do with it but about 4 month later DS started posting on the forum. So DS is aware of F95 and I'm sure if he could find a way around what is on F95 DS will, but look how many games are on F95 anyway, there will be a version on here, maybe not the mods we had on BB and lets see how that plays out in the long run.

Most games that are still on Patreon will have that disabled by default, however most have a way to unlock through Incestor or built in. Go here, haven't played all of them but most (90%) and that is the theme in that vast majority.
