The queen's secretary (I forgot her name) tells the MC that he will most likely become king, and the queen just wants the MC's exclusivity, it's a bit far fetched but I can understand the argument
Human route seem the least pleasant to play for sure, but at the same time we still have the MC in beast route who kills his former human comrades in cold blood when they hadn't done that much harm and that they even helped him in the beginning
I think we're going to have a lot of scenarios like this over the three stories, because the MC is completely committed to the cause of each race and he is ready to kill without problem
I mean it makes sense for a Queen, you want the strongest elf (MALE!!!), do not forget its scarcity in Elven territory, to breed and be yours. You don't want a womanizer King, you want your own King of the Elves.
I can see the angle of "why would she do that, arcaena saved him!".
You're the Queen.
You don't give two flying fucks about who brought Kai to the realm you care about keeping him for yourself, how is that bullshit?
If you put yourself in the Queen shoes, as the Queen, you worry that she steals his heart and you're afraid she can persuade him not to marry and be with the Queen(therefore becoming king).
You're going to have issues later on, there's the future to consider, it's not just the now.
And if she is like "let's let it slide" and Kai stands on his own against the Queen's wishes, who do you think the people (elves) will rather have?
The Queen who made them survive? Or the King who liberated them?
If she didn't put down her foot NOW, good luck doing that later.
Kai is dependent on the Queen RIGHT NOW, he
HAS to bend the knee.
If there are no enemies and you need no allies?
What knee will you bend?
TL;DR
I love this game.
