Worse to be a dick, thosucks to be poor
Especially on a site dedicated to pirating things.Worse to be a dick, tho
Cool.I'm not the type to post links to games, but I can at least let you know that the preview contains a scene with Ashley and Monica (lesbian), and a scene with Arthur that happens if you're on the good route and choose to be corrupted after Eric's funeral. This is the same as an old Arthur scene, that you wouldn't have encountered if playing the good route.
If I pirate games, at least I wait for the final version.I think people sharing the patreon content should wait until beta. Remember what evakiss complained about in one of her previous posts. We all want to get our dopamine rush, me including. But we also should support developers of the games we love. If you can't wait until beta then be a patreon and support her. Adult gaming is a niche indie industry, and if we scare the developers by overpirating their content they might eventually fall off. It's okay to pirate, but let's be at least patient a little bit and give potential patreons a reason to be a patreon. Just my two cents. ✌
I don't think it has an meaningful impact. Most people who pirate wouldn't buy the game if it was the only version available. People still make a big deal of piracy when it has been proven to not really harm sales and can be a powerful marketing tool.I think people sharing the patreon content should wait until beta. It's about the impact it has on her patrons. Not many would pay the 30 for the previews, if it just appears online the next day every single time. Just a couple of that level patrons lost will start to have an impact.I don't think it has an meaningful impact. Most people who pirate wouldn't buy the game if it was the only version available. That's not according to me, but an EU study.
Way to miss the point entirely. You know even leaking the final version has impact on her patreon. Let's not pirate anything and I bet that boosts her patreon count.
You have no point. EvaKiss has been gaining patreons and pledges on monthly basis since development started. Piracy hasn't made a dent in her earnings and probably brought more exposure to her game than anything else. Only mediocrity fears piracy.Way to miss the point entirely.
Sadly there are no numbers what would have happened to the game and her earnings without piracy. You have no point. Interesting, do you happen to know what the study is/where I can find it?I don't think it has an meaningful impact. Most people who pirate wouldn't buy the game if it was the only version available. use the library-function of any university, there you would at least find the articles and studies. sometimes you may even get full text, sometimes you need to be an active student there to gain full acess on the text. But almost any study will present the abstract of it. so grab a seat, google for the *insert university of your choice* homepage, look for library-function and type in some keywords like: piracy, impact, economics etc.Interesting, do you happen to know what the study is/where I can find it?
