The Engine has changed from Ren'Py to Godot.

The new engine **requires Vulkan support**. For PCs, it means having a GPU that is newer than GTX 700 series, and for smartphones it means having Android 10 or above. More information about recommended specs below in **Modified**.

My guy, the GTX 700 series came out in 2013, it's literally more than a decade old.
If someone has money to support someone on patreon, they probably have hardware good enough to run this, it's not a GPU or CPU intensive game.

Last I heard the plan was for her to become no-so-little anymore to avoid bans. Won't matter anyway since they're going to start bleeding even more subscribers than they did when they announced this idiotic engine change when this is their first release. Game will be abandoned by winter.

it's not a GPU or CPU intensive game.

It actually was if you used default settings. They had an option for some snow fall (or similar) on the background that they added a switch to disable. Otherwise, it ran like treacle.

Requiring Vulkan support for your 2D visual novel does alienate anyone using an older lowspec PC.

I'm pretty sure the animations aren't 2d they are 3d. In the renpy version the animations were just video files in the new version they are actual in-engine animations like you would find in any 3d game. this is also why the game is bigger now it need to come with all the assets for the animations instead of just a video file. however, the benefit is that 3d models can be re-used so additional animations will not need as much space as they would in the past.

GUYS don't use the skip function that is the biggest reason why it crashes

For key board just butterfly click/double click while pressing space and enter so that it's fast

Nobody is ever allowed to have bugs or crashes or any issues with any game ever from now on, because some idiot on a pirate forum says so. Any and all bugs are simply unacceptable to this guy.

Two years later, the story is shit, some Patreon subscribers (with shitbox PCs) can't play the game, and the game will have a 0.10

I agree mithroll. I am going to give it the benefit of the doubt for now.

I have seen far worse developers and I do expect it will get better, gonna wait for some bug fixes. Godot can make good games, but it is a pretty big shift... Bugs are unfortunately a part of that. Especially since they pulled out an engine shift and brought new content in seven months that is a lot of work.

Dang! Why change the engine it's redundant have you seen the successful games like Eternum and Pale Carnations they're still using Ren'Py all this years but are successful because they know their audience will lose the ability to play when changed. I have an Android 9 phone(can't install custom roms) i can't play the game anymore because it requires an Android 10 all of those yrs wasted just to wait for an update that gate keeps dang. Not to mention it feels like milking similar to Waifu Academy dev.

I would be far more forgiving of any other kind of bug, I even try to report them as often as I can and/or try find workaround, but this is the skip function in a game where (I think) 3 times saves haven't been compatible.

So yes, I'm miffed about it.
