I don't either. That was why I clarified in saying as much. I wasn't even inclined to bring that genre up, because that wasn't my point at all.
The point is, that the game was pitched and sold to backers as one thing (the dev even has been outed as saying he won't lest it upsets his backers to do otherwise), then the dev is doing a total tone switch 4-5 years into its development, and has the audacity to mock the sort of people who he is even still able to continue making the because of their backing in the first place.
I could care less if it was making every single one of them a thicc waifu type via a time skip trope and catered to every one of my personal fetishes. You don't do that shit to your own support base that helped you get there. Its appallingly disrespectful/ungrateful and trashy. Without his backers, he's not even making this game after two years, let alone five.
This is the kind of thing that causes people not to trust h-devs to keep their promises to potential supporters. That is why this is so objectionable to me, because people like this are blatantly undermining trust people might otherwise have in backing good devs who really want to make a game without ulterior motives. Not everyone can be fortunate enough to dump tens or hundreds of USD most months on h-games and art like others can. That's another reason why its annoying to me, as I'm someone who actually does back h-games and content creators. It's really repulsive to see.
