Yeah, I just got to that part. Seems like the dev tried to salvage the situation with this turn of events.
MC is still a retard for going to sleep right after his bully tells him exactly what he will do. The MC has nothing to hide. He made a bad decision at one point (slanging weed in high school is like... not that serious, tbh), but he got out, and he has no issues with the law currently. That past is behind him. So why doesn't he just tell everyone about Darius and take the minor hit to his reputation? Is he more worried about what his mom/sis/gf will think about him than protecting them from a BBC thug?
Also, the mom is being retarded. MC says Darius is the guy who got the MC into the drug business, but the mom will trust this guy while being angry at MC for selling drugs? She says Darius changed and is a good guy now. But MC is still held responsible for what he did back then in her eyes?
As for MC's actions, it would be more believable if the MC actually had a reason to hide his past involvement with Darius. For example, if he wasn't square with the law, or if MC himself was involved in something very bad which Darius has evidence of. Then he would have justification of trying to solve this without telling his family the truth about Darius.
That said, you always need to suspend disbelief for NTR shit, and this amount of illogical character motivations and actions are within acceptable limits for me.
Edit: Btw, I don't think this dev knows what jealous means.
