I have one issue with the new update. If Jamila is Muslim, why is she drinking alcohol? I'm relatively sure it's forbidden.

On a serious note, yes it's forbidden. But so sleeping with your sons friend, not wearing your hijab around adult men that aren't your husband or kids, etc.
If I was going to make her follow all the rules, I might as well take her out of the game.
I'm just doing whatever comes to me but it's more likely going lean towards mommydom.
Though I'm not entirely sure what the differences are so this might be wrong.
