i would not say Animations are overrated but yeah good Animations take a so long to make for one dev like most people who make adult games are not big groups they mostly small or 1 so thats why i dont ask for Animations cos i know that it takes time but i dont think they arte overratedAnimations are overrated.
They are only good when they are "Really Good", that, not only takes a LOT of time, but also extensive knowledge and/or resources.
All that, to be played once, most of the times criticized by the same idiots that swore they couldn't live without them.
Meanwhile, release intervals move from a steady, uninterrupted, 15 days cycle, to an uncertain amount of time, readers/players interest decline because they see little to no value to be paying monthly for content that takes multiple months to release and after all in lower quantity.
Or, you stick to your guns, make a non-animated AVN, stocked full of sex, stocked full of all types of women, release on a regular uninterrupted schedule of 15 days, keep the interest VERY high and enjoy having a loyal bevy of patreons that never see a reason to interrupt payments.
Obviously you'll still be bugged with the same idiots that think that a AVN must be a porn movie, that only animations are worth having, when a success case like this one completely demolishes their idiocy, it is the patreons that are idiots, not them. Or the other type of idiots that can't see beyond their beloved hate figure, and understand that neither Patreon, nor MoonBox is the culprit of what he accuses them of. You want to blame anyone, blame the stupidity of everyone that thought it was a good idea to create a virtual monopoly in payment processing.
But, returning to this game and it's lack of animations. I'm a 60 years old guy that taught himself to read in Comics. I was able to "see" the animations between the different drawings. I read thousands of books in my life, never had any trouble to imagine the action, in full color and fully animated. Doing it on a visually rich medium like this? A trifle. Not only I don't need the animations, if they were there they would probably pale in comparison to my imagination.
So, if I, by many measures, an old man, can do it... I am sure anyone can. Unless you don't have a fully functioning brain, but that, is not in the scope of this comment.
The best thing about being an idiot is that it is eminently curable. Hope you guys find the treatment you sorely need.

They are overrated for the purpose of telling a story. When they are "Really Good", yes they enhance the experience. When they aren't though... it would be better to not have them.
In this specific AVN, they are completely unneeded. The stills flow in a sufficiently smooth way that it isn't that much effort to "fill in the blanks".
