But a genuine question to anyone here in the furry community or something:
Is there any reason why 80+% of the Patreon furry games are gay/homosexual? It's not my thing and that's fine but I'm genuinely curious as to why an overwhelming amount of it is homosexual content. I've seen Book of Lust and Changeling Tale be some of the bigger releases but those are 2 of the many I see posted on "latest" with only gay tags.
As with most things on the internet, men are the majority, so are most furrys also homosexual or what.
Just curious; any answers will be appreciated.

EDIT: I'm mostly referring to the 2D decently drawn games, I know there are a lot of pixel games or 3D games with straight stuff in.

But it's not just "as with most things". I mean for example loli's are mostly popular due to them being weak, cute and something you want to protect or something "innocent". But I wouldn't say most straight men just casually get off to gay porn, that would make them gay. Being gay is described as having a sexual attraction/preference for men.
The true question is then that if gay furry porn sells better than straight furry porn doesn't that mean that the erotic-game playing furries are by majority homosexual? :thinking:

Well, from what I've found in my time in the fandom it's the fact that a hell of a lot probably around 50% (at least in my experiences) are gay, bi, or some other sexuality other than Hetero, and a semi-recent survey supports that as well "about 1 in 4 furries are exclusively heterosexual, 1 in 5 are exclusively homosexual, and the rest are somewhere in-between" (International Anthropomorphic Research Project, 2011). So it would stand to reason hat because there's such a large demand for these games the supply would rise as well. That's at least my theory. (Note: You have no Idea how hard it was for me to not take the funny route and just plainly as if you've ever seen a truly straight furry)

Not sure if 80+% is accurate. But what I have noticed is that 80+% of M/M games are furry. Which doesn't bother me but I do wish there was more non-furry gay stuff.

First off, most of those games are usually Ren'Py Visual Novel games, usually dating sim games. In straight VNs, there's usually a common plethora of sexual archetypes of women: the airhead girl, the booky girl, the sporty girl etc. And the same can be said with gay VNs. But I've never seen a furry love interest in a gay game where its only that one character, and the rest are humans. The furry tag in straight VNs is usually to accomodate that fox-girl love interest, while the rest are humans/angels/goddess/succubus/etc. Granted, this only happens in fantasy-based VNs, but I've never seen a gay Sengoku Rance. This is usually the norm when it comes to straight VNs. For gay VNs, unfortunately, its either furry cast or non-furry cast.

My guess would be because gay guys like dicks (oh wow shocking). So when it comes to portraying gay love interests through sexual art, showing them having different tools is one of the ways to differentiate them from other love interests and/or make them more appealing. Like, "This tall dragon character has two penises instead of one!" or "The nerdy horse character has a huge dick" or even "Lizard bae has a cloaca that doubles as a vagina and his penis slot". That being said. if they're appealing to a general audience with an interest in these kinds of ideas, then I guess they would sell more. But usually people start Patreon adult games out of their own fetishes and fantasies. And gay games aren't really a niche in the competitive adult game market industry or something. Same can be said about furry games.

I can understand why most gay content is furry though. I'm not a furry but I do love the carnal, bestial idea of being mounted by a minotaur or getting knotted by a werewolf. And I think a lot of guys like that fantasy - even non-furries. I can imagine that most straight guys however aren't into furry women. I mean, I think a vast majority of straight guys like smooth skin. So unless you are a straight/bi furry, I imagine you're less likely to be into it i guess.

Lastly, In my opinion, furry porn is mostly homosexual. Probably not most furries, not my place to say. I really don't think we should go around stating what a majority of them are cause the whole furry community is sexual in nature so if we have any questions regarding sexuality they probably have more answers.

I find it funny how the majority of people online seem to automatically assume someone is gay for liking/loving gay porn content. Why would there only be gay people who like gay porn content, when there are bi-sexuals - not to mention all the other XX-Sexuals - out there too who may like gay porn content. Also, in my opinion at least, liking gay porn content - especially if it is fictional gay porn content - doesn't make one gay - or rather, homosexual. Homosexuals are gay because they have a sexual/emotional attraction to the same sex person as they are, not some fictional character.

Now, on the topic of Furry games, I do wish there would be at least ONE hetero route in Furry games, even if they mostly are gay routes because then I might not even mind all that much doing some of the gay routes, simply because Furry characters are often sexier than human characters.

I'll be honest, I'm not into furry stuff. I was genuinely just curious. But I do find some scaley stuff to be semi-attractive. I think the whole thing that I just find a turn off is when they actually become a "furry", since I'm fine with cat girls (99% human like). But a girl with 8 nipples I may be okay with but when say her mouth becomes cat like that's when I can't relate to finding it sexy. But to each their own.

So the majority of furries are homosexual or at least not strictly speaking straight; okay that seems to justify the supply and demand I've seen. Thanks for the info.
