Not sure if 80+% is accurate. But what I have noticed is that 80+% of M/M games are furry. Which doesn't bother me but I do wish there was more non-furry gay stuff.

First off, most of those games are usually Ren'Py Visual Novel games, usually dating sim games. In straight VNs, there's usually a common plethora of sexual archetypes of women: the airhead girl, the booky girl, the sporty girl etc. And the same can be said with gay VNs. But I've never seen a furry love interest in a gay game where its only that one character, and the rest are humans. The furry tag in straight VNs is usually to accomodate that fox-girl love interest, while the rest are humans/angels/goddess/succubus/etc. Granted, this only happens in fantasy-based VNs, but I've never seen a gay Sengoku Rance. This is usually the norm when it comes to straight VNs. For gay VNs, unfortunately, its either furry cast or non-furry cast.

My guess would be because gay guys like dicks (oh wow shocking). So when it comes to portraying gay love interests through sexual art, showing them having different tools is one of the ways to differentiate them from other love interests and/or make them more appealing. Like, "This tall dragon character has two penises instead of one!" or "The nerdy horse character has a huge dick" or even "Lizard bae has a cloaca that doubles as a vagina and his penis slot". That being said. if they're appealing to a general audience with an interest in these kinds of ideas, then I guess they would sell more. But usually people start Patreon adult games out of their own fetishes and fantasies. And gay games aren't really a niche in the competitive adult game market industry or something. Same can be said about furry games.

I can understand why most gay content is furry though. I'm not a furry but I do love the carnal, bestial idea of being mounted by a minotaur or getting knotted by a werewolf. And I think a lot of guys like that fantasy - even non-furries. I can imagine that most straight guys however aren't into furry women. I mean, I think a vast majority of straight guys like smooth skin. So unless you are a straight/bi furry, I imagine you're less likely to be into it i guess.

Lastly, In my opinion, furry porn is mostly homosexual. Probably not most furries, not my place to say. I really don't think we should go around stating what a majority of them are cause the whole furry community is sexual in nature so if we have any questions regarding sexuality they probably have more answers.

I myself am straight and not a furry. I said this to Rifleman (check my last comment in this thread), but I have found some of the stuff attractive. For me when you go beyond additions and warp the human themself it's when it becomes unattractive. For example lets say a girl is slowly turning into a dragon or a dolphin sea creature wyvern type thing? Her skin becomes scale like, a bit rougher - I'm fine with it. Her eyes/pupils become more slit like - I'm okay with it. She grows horns, wings - I'm actually INTO it. Her mouth morphs into a beak like shape - This is where I say no thank you, when I have passionate sex irl it involves a lot of kissing, while being a man heavily into bdsm (domination in particular) vanilla/romance is still a must for me sometimes; so the idea of laying a girl down and the kiss having to be beyond a human standard slight turn of the head or whatever is kinda weird to me, especially when you get into them having a different kinda tongue.
Pretty much: I'd fuck/date the entire monster musume cast. But if we take a look at Book of Lust (a furry game I tried on here) I wouldn't wanna date the female characters in that especially cause the heads. I'm in limbo as to weather I'd FUCK a furry female however (if they were real). I dunno, seems non standard but I think I'd be curious if it felt better in anyway.

Read my comment thread on this game I've discussed this with others. The simple answer is apparently only like 20% of furries say they are fully straight. The rest are gay, bi so on. A.k.a strictly straight sex will sell less seeing as most furries are sexual anyway. (Cause if they mostly weren't maybe the gay furries wouldnt want to play sex games but the straight would so even if there were more gay than straight straight would sell better cause it's the only one that would sell).

It doesnt affect me I just noticed a trend in the games going up and asked questions, but if you're interested read the people who responded to my posts here.

Try the usual stuff: take ownership of the file, run it as administrator, add an exception in your antivirus and so on.

As for why there's so much m/m furry stuff it's fairly simple: furry in general is sinking into ~degeneracy~ and so there's going to be less of the usual overcompensating BUT THAT'S GAAAAAY panic stuff that keeps guys away from BL-type content in general. Then there's the fact that many of the most prominent furry smut artists draw way more guy-on-guy than anything else. Then there's the prominence of roleplaying with furries - they very much like to do that and commission art of that and since the community is one of those that tends to scare off women many of the participants in roleplaying are men doing it with other men.

So the answer essentially boils down to "there's a lot of visible representation for it and the community is conductive to it". That said there's also the fact that monstergirls, which are definitely leaning hard on the furry angle, kind of split off into their own thing.

On a more serious note, I think part of the reason is that furry community is very accepting towards LGBT folks and matters of sexuality in general. This openness either naturally attracts more LGBT people into the community or urges straight furries to explore new things, which sometimes results in them discovering that they are, in fact, not strictly heterosexual.

The asshole is indeed always there no matter what. But I feel like an open-minded attitude and the "any hole is the goal" approach ain't gonna make you a full-blown Bi if it isn't "there" to begin with. On the comments about gay furry games. Personally I find most Furs to be pan/other/bi. I think most the Games like this are due to the openness in most fur communities and blurred lines on sexuality. But that's just my personal perspective based on my observations.

Wikiapedia has a nice page on yaoi and how its different then bara. Why did I mention that? Well most games with yoai content are made by women for women. With that being said not all games with gay content are made by females. What I am trying to point out is alot of gay content games are made leaning towards a female audience. That's not to say they all are or even this game is.
I personally wished alot of straight games had gay conterparts or even gay paths. But there has been a small increase in some straight games having gay content. There are exceptions to every statistic and men ( gay, bi, straight, pan, etc..) can make/enjoy gay content.

Lol I digress, I liked playing this game. One ending made me sad but it was still fun. I don't play alot of games like this one and am a stickler for total completion if I find the first play thru descent. I know it says it is complete but a few options it gives you are not available. It also took a few hours to complete. So its a short but well written game that leaves my wanting more. (in a good way)
