It's been a while... I did Grolokk only while I was between Bunny Hunter games. Like everyone else, I'd prefer if G. A. Corman came back and kept going with this. But so far, I actually haven't fixed or even found any major bugs AFAIK.
If I did get back into it, first thing would be a plugin that I saw for automatically coloring certain words when they appear in text, like "Grolokk" always in green. It's no fun coding all the color switching manually.

Well, you got me thinking, so I tried turning off plugins, and isolated the flickering to a 2020-vintage plugin for animations. Replaced that with the latest free version and so far the flickering is gone! Will need to do testing to make sure going from v1.1 to v1.3 hasn't broken anything, but if it looks good then I'll post the file and simple instructions here so everyone can benefit. Soon.

That PKD_VPlayer right? So far I haven't noticed it after updating that plugin too, nice find!

I've also been using Galvs image cache to stop the flickering between the character art (like when there is an expression change, you can see a brief flicker), but it's pretty time consuming to script the preload for every image needed -per- every event, lol... And I'm pretty sure just preloading every single image from the plugin menu really lags things out, so it is what it is. I've also managed to more or less managed get his art style down somewhat. I wish he'd come back, I'd be happy to help him out if he would like.
