Agreed , especially on the need for more femdom boxing games. I'm guessing you have already played Dream Knockout - Strawberry Edition and Super Punch Boy?
I am curious which game you are referring to from twenty some years ago. I think I played it before but I forgot the name of it.
To clarify, I never said anything about femdom. Boxing, for whatever reason, has no good options as of late. Back in the day there were great boxing games that I played growing up. Now the latest offering on the main stream is Undisputed, which is probably missing a topless female boxers mod and then I can maybe become interested. The mechanics are trash though as I have knocked people out with punches that were not even close to hitting. /shrug
I completely forgot about Boxing Angels on the cellphones, but I can find literally nothing about who even holds the rights to that. There were costumes that could be broken in that game, and I'd have loved to see the game released not in a cellphone gatcha fashion that was destined to fail in the long term.
I digress, as I am far more interested in providing options that people could run with and perhaps make boxing great again. Arcade games of old that were fun like Ring King or Final Blow immediately come to mind as fairly simple games that could be used as examples. The early playstation era saw games like Contender 1 & 2 that were somewhat decent. Then we make our way toward the Ready 2 Rumble franchise which is 25 years old now. I overlooked that it was 1999 when the game was first released. A few others come to mind like Bland and Boring.. I mean Black and Bruised. I am certainly omitting a few franchises along the way, but lets be real. Were any of them memorable enough to mention?
Give me some level of replayability with stat building and perhaps Guilty Love Boxing can hold someone's interest past the 15 minutes or so it took to unlock everything. That might be my major gripe toward the implementation element of this game. Is it boxing, yes. Does it hold anyone's interest past half an hour? I do not think so. Get some character development via stats and maybe, just maybe, there could be something that keeps player's interest longer than half an hour.
