I have run into unimplemented choices in other games. It is a frustrating, confusing problem for players when they select and end up frozen, often with no positive indication that this choice or route is just stuck in for no good reason, yet. Until the choice is implemented, don't show it in the game.
disagree, he should however have it just pop up WIP when you click it and send you back. That being said...every single paying member of his patreon knew this was the case cause it was in the edescription on the DL link. It's not his responsibility to make it nice for pirates.
My bar is I shouldn't have to force quit a game in task manager because it's frozen and no user input does anything. I find it ridiculous that you think that's acceptable at any stage of anything. But maybe early access isn't for you if you can't handle the fact that there will be negative criticism. Find something finished and polished and spare everyone the drama.
Making a video game is hard, and it takes a team of people to efficiently make one. A lot of these folks don't have that and rely on sites like this community for bug fixing and help shaping various other aspects of the game. Being a prick about issues you experience helps no one. Windows is informing the user that the file is from an unsigned developer, meaning - it's not known to Microsoft or the safeguarding they have in place. It's not stupid, it serves a purpose. Just because it prompts here, doesn't mean anything negative. It's just a prompt asking if you want to run the application.
I tested this game on a bunch of varying machines and the only time I encountered this specific issue you're mentioning is on a Windows 10 machine. All the machines running 11 had no issue exiting out, or closing the game. Even on the Steamdeck the game runs and exits properly.

As for the freezes and task manager situation, I haven't seen this as an common issue. Normally, the game can be exited with the "Esc" key at any point anytime.
