Surprisingly I see either monthly or bi-monthly updates from that.
You do need to purchase coins with real money, then you use these coins to buy things for your potential...flings.
It gets datey, you need to pass talk checks to get them in bed first. They all have their own voice actors and actresses too. So that's a plus.
Scam? Idk. It seems like an actual legit business.
If you can stomach the art.

There is a timeline where Crowchild in 2015 (The year he first showed off unity in that "Ava Sprite Updates + New Engine Preview" livestream) realized that he was going nowhere, admitted his mistakes, and then ceded all game-side development to competent programmers and remained as the lead art director/creative consultant, and the game shipped in 2019.
My god, this whole project is a case study in how NOT to try being a jack of all trades.
We could've had him concentrating on his greatest strengths - making art assets, designing dakimakuras and other merch, and fine-tuning his admittedly cool idea of "There's a whole Myst mystery plot underneath this in-universe virtual tour" with the narrative team.
I took one look at the HTH Studios website today. It's an absolute mess. He's just about to snap, and I know it.

Not wrong been watching him since the early days of Newground and even on is FA site, man this guy has never produce much at all through out the years, i would say he had one complete game but over all this is just sad and seeing him moving to AI is just sad also.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: HTH being a forever project that will never get done has a lot to do with him not knowing how to actually manage a project. You can see that he's outlining his intentions, but there's no clear path to completion. There should be a clear timeline for him based on actually thought out expectations, to work off of and that he can update as he goes along. He keeps finding things he wants to do, but that are out of his depth and results in a feature creep that absolutely cripples any chances of development getting done in a timely fashion. And yes, if there is actually sufficient money there, he should have outsourced more of the tasks he's less equipped to do to others. You don't have to be the programmer for a thing to be the creative lead who finalizes all of the decisions, even if the idea that you're making it just how you like it appeals to you.
In addition to this, he's made the same mistake that a few old artists are doing (like the people at Meet n Fuck games) by not having totally abandoned Flash for newer software years ago. Flash is amazing, and it always was. But actively doing new projects in Flash, especially projects that will go through a long development period, is like a ticking time bomb of escalating bugs and crashes interfering with your work. This is a problem that he is actively struggling against right now, especially for archival reasons, and it's eating his lunch.
Probably the best thing he could do right now is try to see if there are any competent people who would be willing to collaborate with him. To cede his total control of the project to be part of a team where someone with better management skills than him can take charge and help transform his ideas into something that can actually be accomplished. It would help with his extremely damaged reputation for him to not be sitting in the driver's seat, and it would be a learning opportunity for him.

They say it's a game progression, but... well... I'm going to keep it as a memory because it's so thrilling... haha
Damn, had a sudden hankering today for Crowchild's old animations, so finding this was QUITE the scratch to that itch.
Also retrospectively makes me wish he just went with the "sex scenes are movies" like in his HTH2 prototype, because the quality of that art was clearly superior to his animations. Recently checked out his new Unity build (didn't pay for it mind you) and...MAN. This man's art style keeps getting WORSE. Apparantly came down with Kadath syndrome.

I'm "playing" their other game, Galactic Monster Quest, and yeah pricing and constant nickel n dimeing gets REALLY annoying. They SAY they got free scenes in both games? Never found a single one. And with the general price of a scene you basically pay like 2 bucks per sex scene minimum.
