His new game is obviously tower defence inspired. I've tried the demo. Its actually not that bad, pretty addictive. I also did a rough translation too using software which switches to English on the fly.
Basically this girl you use is applying for a job as a night-watch guard but with little details on what the job entails. Gameplay-wise, you have to defend your main gate from enemies. Explore your surroundings, check the security computer, one option OPENS the gate so enemies come charging through, the 2nd option above gives you a guide path on where these enemies will follow. use the guide-line to create your gauntlets. Use EMP mines in tight spaces like doorways and of course turret guns (like in Aliens) to shoot at incoming enemies within its cone of vision. The cone of vision is quite far and wide too. You can only place so many turrets obviously and they run out of power as they shoot. If theres no enemies in sight, take them off to gain back mental power.
You can also attract enemies attention by using yourself as bait and pressing Q to drop a smoke-bomb, this will stun enemies and you can also disable some up close but its quite flimsy so far. Stops them from moving so your turrets can get more shots in You can also use objects within the map like sofas, boxes, benches etc by moving them across BUT anything that gets destroyed you will get penalised for, hence why your supposed to protect the place. Once you open the doors its on a timer so once the timer has expired enemies will stop spawning and you just need to pick off the stragglers.
Enemies are male combatants in bodysuits that will surround and grope you. Restraints that bind you as they stack, a visor that will brainwash you and a defensive combatant with a stretcher that will tie you down. Theres also female combatant nurses that will do same. More enemies are planned but the dev doesnt know how many he will do. I reckon a total on 12, you will probably get some that will jump around, phase in/out and even fire back at you. The visors shoot hypnotic waves at you.
Theres only the tutorial stage and the first level, level 2 appears but its blanked out. Maybe modding could unlock that but best we dont out of respect for the dev.
Would be pretty cool to create your own maps though, people could upload some crazy stages.
As for release....who knows. I think he started development early last year with drawings and creating code for the base. I reckon the game is about 35 - 40% finished, so this could really go on for another 10 months, I'd say. I reckon early next year you will get a better idea of its release.
