The first time you open the game with mod installed you will get this error,just press reload or close the game and open again and it should work fine.

Issue still occurs, reloading it just brings back the error message, same as closing application and rebooting.

First time yes the error does show, after that i have no issues with the mod, some saves don't work, but i don't think that's because of the mod, but the changes the dev made in the scriot.

Old saves are broken.The first time it will throw error i can't do much about it.Pressing reload solves it simply or if someone unrened the game BEFORE applying the mod then it should work without error even the first time(didn't test this method but i would assume this does the trick).But i would personally just press reload instead of unrening etc.

yeah sometimes that error can happen because of the rpyc files are not the same as the rpy files, but after the reload the new rpyc are overweight and that fixes that error.
I have just tested without the mod the saves are broken, so people don't complain about the mod.

Unrening could help but yes reloading will do the same without using a program.

yeah and that too being inside a .rpa archive makes it even more probable to happen.So the only solutions to this problem are manual and i cant do anything to fix it from my side.I would have just said to delete .rpyc files but in this case its in archive from what i remember so people would need to unren for it too

Reloading or reopening didn't do anything here, I'm running the Mac version. The error continues to appear every time.

I also have no idea why there is a .exe file on the Mac file, but that's not really your problem. Clearly the dev is still... adjusting to the whole "publishing files" aspect of this endeavor

I don't really have a mac so im not sure but did you install correctly as that can cause similar issue too. Another thing is maybe unren(maybe cuz im not sure unren works for mac) and then delete .rpyc files to solve this issue. Or try a fresh install of game and mod.

I did install it from a fresh install of the game (the way things work on the mac make actually harder to update a game than start fresh every time), and I did install it correctly, i.e. I dropped the files within the /game folder.

I have not tried to unren because it is a lot more convoluted to make it work on a mac, requiring all sorts of command line stuff that I'm not really all that familiar with, and I just didn't care enough to bother trying to figure out.

I guess I'll just skip this one. Thanks anyway.

Yes, so that the mod files are on the same folder as the archive.rpa file. Same way as every other mod for every other Renpy game. Should it be different?

Nope.Just making sure . Some people throw the game folder inside the game folder of the game. So essentially archive.rpa and game folder of mod end up being in the same folder which causes similar issue. I assume you have the same exact error as that guy too?
