You do realize that it's optional. Alongside I think they recently separated the abdl content as a different version of recent updates.

Whether or not it's optional is not the issue. The issue is that the dev either has ADD or just a general lack of focus and dedication, and as such he wastes too much time not finishing any one area in the game so far and instead just goes on indulging in a singular fetish that's of extreme niche appeal, especially since it now involves scat and watersports. Clean diaper play alone is niche, dirty diaper play even moreso.

And since this is a solo project, you can't even begin to argue that "putting effort into this one fetish area doesn't diminish the others," because really, let's count how many areas are even close to being finished at this point, shall we? Oh, that's right, just the lab. And that's only because it was the literally first area introduced in the game.

So I would say we all have the right to complain about the excessive over-focus on ABDL content since every minute the dev spends on that, is one minute he won't spend on literally anything else in the game. If this game had been all about that diaper stuff, it would have been one thing. But let's not forget that that wasn't even in the game at all until about 8-9 updates ago.

also something else to add is doggie has gotten multiple burrs up their ass and altered the combat system... whether its to give the illusion of progress to placate or legit not liking the old systems who can say, but what i can say is each of these alterations also took away time from other areas. also gallery nuff said there... i feel what doggiebones needs is someone to help keep them focused/ organized and this is comming from someone who gets distracted on the way home by freakin squirrels being cute... and in the neighbors bird feeder. the other problem... radio silence unless your in the vip discord which given the recent diaper fixation can create a vicous feedback cycle of apperent inactivity causing people to go elsewhere. back to back diaper can give the apperence of a project focus shift too.

Also, just in case: don't hope that this game will ever have a gallery. The dev is adamant on not adding a gallery until the game is done, and the progress on this game is slow as fuck (1 update that adds 1-2 enemies in 5 months at shortest, and fucking 8 months at longest), so either check this thread about once-twice a year, or just forget about it altogether, because update quality is also all over the place, oftentimes consisting of fucking ABDL content (ya know, diapers and other "uh-oh, stinky" stuff) instead of something good.

Most people supporting this game/project through funding DoggieBones, aren't gonna be into the ABDL fetish. Now, there are some who are. However, if you were a supporter who isn't into ABDL and updates take eons, and when an update does come, it's focused on ABDL. Sure he also did an overhaul or whatever, but stuff like that can be done once the game is finished... It's very irritating when (H-)game creators receive practically free money through donations, and they give the bare minimum if you can even call it that

it being optional is not a problem the problem is they have been giving way to much to that one part and not enough towards others as well as needlessly changing mechanics before it was bullets and fists now its heat meter and fists and the heat system is just badly implemented all it does is nab enemy's from a completely different area and shove them in the current one for no good reason ruining the uniqueness of that area. if anything we should be demanding doggie bones give the other area's the glow up they deserve if they are willing to detail the optional area to hell and back because comparing that to other area's they feel lacking. both in enemy's and detail also the amount of small content updates is genuinely upsetting because back then at least they would finish the area before adding a new one.

i actually disagree the lab compared to this new update towards the ABDL area has made it look and feel outdated. again i think every area in the game should be given equal treatment if this dev going through hell and back to polish ABDL and detail it + adding more enemies
