despite the face my Avatar is making, I'm quite happy, I set out on a simple mission to have a build leaked, adding it to collection, with a timestamp. I'm happy that I manged to get it as now I have almost all builds of this game in one folder, and I can tell you the dates when I acquired them.

Now I'm not willing to pay any money to keep track of things, but I do like to get my hands on the test builds as soon as possible for archival purposes and date stamping. So i could point out precisely when shadow changes happened. (No longer being able to enter the spoopy land in closet, when the bear in diapers turned into green monster scientist, etc) So, once again, I'm relatively happy with the how the thread goes.

ok, pal, I am not going to say this is bad, but it definitely looks weird, and makes you look odd even from my perspective. just try to think about what this looks like from someone else's point of view before you say things.

TECHNICALLY... We're not pirating this game, since we're only getting the public releases anyway and not the patreon build. Also, I'm pretty sure the dev of the game is updating the thread anyway, so... It'd be sure weird if the dev gave their game out for free against their own will or intent. :KappaPride:

But yeah, I agree with you in principle. Besides, I know that stuff is kind of a major turn off for me... However, you know I learned this neat trick of-

Don't go to where that content is. Since it's conveniently very out of the way of the main content of the game.

Also, I'm so happy to say I thought I'd subscribe to the patreon assuming the updates would keep coming out on time... I regret my choice with this last update. I have a sneaking suspicion by the updates I saw on the discord which was very little and those I heard on the patreon page, which was also practically nothing...

And this being the longest time between updates I've heard of yet? I hope that there's more than 3 or 4 new animations and a segment of a new area that has almost nothing in it like the last update... Maybe if it's actually good, I might resubscribe to the patreon. Here's to hoping again...

Thing i find funny is when people gets mad and try to defend the game because they paid for it. Listen if we are getting mad about the slow and lackluster updates then people who paid should feel twice as pissed. The furry game making curse continues, sllow and unfocused updates until game is scrapped or abandoned.

I think people who pay real money and defend the game they just don't want to admit they're wasting their money
Doesn't mean they're happy with how the game is progressing
Ever heard of the term Sunk Cost?
They've given too much already, and it's too painful to admit that they made the wrong choice
So they have to continue to defend the game, and expect Doggie to make them satisfied
Then they can convince themselves that the sunk cost is worth it in the end
When you think about it, you might sympathise with them
After all Happy Heart Panic's development wasn't that slow to begin with

The sad thing is that people get angry at people shittalking the game and it's slow, lackluster updates.
Like, my complaints are not happening because I hate the developer and and the game, because if I actually hated them, I wouldn't continue browsing this thread, because the world is already a shitty place and I don't want to intentionally seek out negativity. I found this thread like a few years ago, and was interested in the content of the game, but became more and more saddened by both time it takes for the updates to get released, and the amount/quality of the content in those updates.

I also don't think that taking a lot of time to update the game is a bad thing in the first place. What makes the wait for HHP worse than other porn games with long update time that I watched closely is worsened by the fact that all progress reports from Doggie (when they happen, which is not often) happen in what is essentially a private club for those who give money to them, and are (for most of the time) unavailable for unpaying people. The developer for Mystic Knight Maya makes a progress report montly, and says what is happening with the update, and if it's even coming out this month or if it was delayed. HHP progress reports happen rarily and mostly consist of teaser pictures, and a few lines of what can be summarised as "I'm working on it", and most of the damage control is made by other paying fans who lash out like frenzied beasts when someone asks "where's the update".

Even Kitty, the ultimate white knight of Doggie, gets the rabid attack dog treatment for merely making a joke about "when update?". Sure seems like tension is low on the Discord. Mind you, this was also three weeks ago. They said 11-12 days before questioning, but oddly asking is uh...still taboo. Push that goalpost back baby, push it!

well According to my research, the test version [v19.5] includes:
Jessie's playhouse [+] [-]:
+ larger mainhall
+ 5 new rooms [or stage]
+ Mango's animation [full by both every heros, "nice"]
- Excort mission [to get the VIP card i think but "WIP"]
- you can just save 2 from 3 from customers [the 3/3 is able in the bar stage but nothing happends "WIP"]
- Mordicai animation have just have a idle animation "WIP"
"I've see all of this into this test"

Their fans will never admit it, but these are literally marketing techniques: bait people in with a tease of the things they want, make any information about what they'll get for their purchase incredibly difficult to access (in this case, you literally have to pay for VIP just to know what you're paying for), and make endless big vague promises and hype people up (e.g. "I'm working so hard on it", "This will be the biggest update ever!", "Yall are REALLY gonna love this one", btw if you're on the Discord these are actual quotes), and make sure people know just how little you're charging and how grateful they should be for getting such a pristine, expertly hand-crafted experience for the low-low price of 1 dollar per update, despite the entire package so far barely being worth the 20 dollars it would have cost just to buy each update individually.
