For those who added the abandoned tag, I would inform you that his Patreon and Subscribestar is abandoned. There is literally nothing that can imply to any newcomer that this is still updating. You can't gatekeep discord and expect we get any idea what you have behind. For all we know, it can be content in tandem with the lore, not a part of gameplay.

I think there has to be a specific tagging case with this game, because it has been far more of an anomaly within abandoned games.

Man I'm actually really glad I started speaking up, normally I never post on here. It was pretty validating to see other people were fed up. I did support this dev!... Several years ago. Back when updates were regular. Supporting devs is great, scamming your audience is immoral.

Dev probably stopped updating due to all the stress from all the people in their Discord constantly begging for updates. Like, an unhealthy amount of people were begging. Unfortunately saw this coming. No one can deal with that much stress and expectations without collapsing. Though I'd prefer this than an extremely rushed product.

If only he did his fucking job instead of siphoning money from his Subscribestar and Patreon while going radio silent on it for almost a year. Ever since this catastrophic scam of a game, I've started doing my research on creators before actually donating to the product's development in the case they are anything like this embodiment of sloth.

I remember back when there was the possibility of lore for this game, and how we still got updates semi-regularly. The fact that doggie goes so long without so much as an explanation as to why they drop off the face of the planet or anything really makes me sad considering that even despite the overly-heavy focus of ABDL stuff in recent updates (looking at Mint when I say that), this game has some promise and charm to it that is genuinely being squandered and milked for easy money from people who are too stupid to realize that funding doggie at this point is throwing your money away.

Look back at all the stuff that was teased with the premise of "might be coming later, just not now" and tell me doggie hasn't been sitting on at least 4 or 5 whole updates worth of content, enough stuff to fill out the lab, the garden, hell even give the newer sections of the game plenty of content, and STILL have enough left over to add in more areas that will never get finished because graphical overhauls and combat system reworks (for the 4th fucking time) are somehow more important than the thing we actually play this game for, let alone a FUCKING GALLERY SO WE DONT NEED TO GO THROUGH THE ENTIRE MAP FOR ONE SCENE.

It's sad to see this game that i used to consider pretty cool and unique go the way of Bare Backstreets and just go completely to shit. It's like the world's slowest fucking car crash.

Let's be clear here: Nobody actually want to see this game fail. We all want DoggieBones to actually deliver the meal on time, or at least edible. The last time I had to say this was about a 100 pages or so ago, but I'm sure those discord mod simps are too dense to understand that.

As for Happy Hearts, I suggest you split each stage into it's own pocket game. The upside is that you're not dragging all the files alongside the new content each update and whatever extra bytes that are gained through a dispersed set of games (since there are their own game) are offset of the loads of repetition of the centralized singular game.
From dispersion of stages into separate games, you can update them separately, bypassing Patreon guidelines and allowing a more focused development of the individual sects of each game. And let's be fair, the stage select hub content is so little (as well as money being so useless to the point that an ATM exist) that nobody would actually miss it.

I'm going to stand by this. At this point, it's not just a suggestion anymore, it's basically a surgery. DoggieBones shouldn't continue working on this exact game since he is unable to keep up on both the content and engine. Scrapping both new stages entirely and put it in a different version would actually improve productivity at this point, since the coding isn't repeating the previous 3.

In all honesty, I don't think Doggiebones actually has a clue to where he's going. Instead of finishing one stage completely, he shoves two stages with very, very underwhelming results. He keeps changing the HUD and combat mechanics as if it was a roulette. And he has no clue what the point of money should be or the balance of weapons (with most being too shit to replace melee). And even if he released his North Korea cosplay update, I have no clue nor confidence on what he'll do next.

There's H-game devs that does need the money, it just requires people to keep looking for patterns of a "lazy" dev and they have to be conscious in spending for these things to unsub

I beg to differ. Cynical Morbid as it may be, I think the best thing for this game, the developer, and most of all us players, is for the game to suffer a quick yet miserable death. This shilly-shallying bullshit that DoggieBones is pulling serves no purpose whatsoever. If the game died however, that would at least put a right chokehold on DoggieBones's funding and maybe also serve as a clear warning to that dozy git that he should not procrastinate this damn much.

As I said, it's a cynical morbid point of view, but sometimes a game or game series simply needs to die for there to be any reasonable improvement in the future.

Last game update was last year in October, both on patreon and actually published.
Dude hasn't said anything about it publicly/outside of his discord.
The only thing that was said, was:
"Trying to get the next build wrapped up around the end of March; been looking into Godot+Blender"
It's not the end of March, it's not April either, it's May.
Him "looking into Godot+Blender" suggests either yet another rework, abandoning overall, or just simply doing something else.
