Be careful for what you wish for, cuz those dobonhonkeroos could end up being soiled diapers and another empty, unfinished map. The monkey's paw doesn't discriminate.

I mean given the screenshots it seems the dev is still active on discord. Perhaps the abandoned tag is a bit hasty? (one can pray at least, there's no other games in this genre of this quality)

I hate to throw my hat into this stained, soiled ring, but the one of the screenshots is from April, and the other is from early March at the latest. And the abandoned tag is usually based on more concrete factors, such as 'actual updates', rather than 'is the dev breathing'. Plus, those Discord parts were updates on something that was, as others have said, been in the works for close to two years now.

Want to know something? I got access to DoggieBones discord recently, there is almost no news about the game.

And I presume theres nothing in the Patreon or Subscribestar chats, even if I dont have access to them.

there is exactly S E V E N post in the private patreon chat since:
18/10/2024.
searching for anything in the discord is pointless if not a patreon.
oh and i fixed my monitor so here are the gifs that i didnt post earlier.
