Ren'Py - Happy Summer [v0.6.2] [Caizer Games]

Ok images and animation but jack shit content and updates almost never bring anything new to the game maybe 1 extra scene that doesnt further any kind of storyline, not even worth the download at this point.
Maybe in another year or 2 it might get half way to an introductory storyline

This game could be good...but it isn't.

Let's start with the good.

- I personally really like the art style. Cartoonish but not totally unrealistic.
- The animation of the girl running on the treadmill is really good.
- I like the two main girls. Sweet and cute.

Now the bad...

- Very grindy. You have all these stats to keep up. Use the toilet, take a shower, eat food and you need to grind a lot of money to pay rent. You need to watch TV, or play games. If any one of these stats is too low, MC won't do anything because he gets sad or something.
- Very small updates. Most of the updates just have a couple events and the time frame of the updates is way too long for such little content.
- Sexual content is basically non-existent. You see a boob and get a handjob once.
- Very little story content, honestly, I'm not even sure what the story is about. Most of the grind events are repeatable, but they always have the same dialog. They'e just there to waste time.
- A couple of the side-girls have zero content.
- No hint system for the sandbox. You'll get lost. There is no indicator that says "End of Content" so you really have no idea if you're done or not.

At this point, this game is basically a life-sim of a guy living in his house and doing his daily chores while the girls watch TV or sit in their rooms. Hardly any content despite being 1.5 years old. I'll give this a 2 for the cuteness factor, but it's a 1 star game.

The animations are scarce though, the game has little content and the development is very very slow, maybe an event or two per update, in case the game is prepared with repetitive mechanics to support its little content.

The story does not play out well, things happen to delay the sex scenes and lengthen the game as much as possible.

I was about to start this review by saying this supposed sex game is trying too hard to be the Sims. But then, I realized the analogy would be falling flat because the Sims actually has more sex than this. A lot more. Unmodded.

This one easily contends for being the most mind-numbingly boring adult game I have ever played. You know some of these Russian QSPs that have a gazzilion repetitive tasks, making you want to bang your head on the keyboard until you concuss yourself? I would argue that this is even worse. Because at least those QSPs reward you from grinding your life away with some RL porn with Aletta Ocean or some shit. Yes, you have probably seen it already but at least it's something nice to look at after 8 hrs of doing the same task and calling it "playing". In this, the reward is two lines of dialogue with each update and maybe a handy scene if you are lucky.

Honestly, I was surprised to see it's still in development. But then again people have paid for literal bathwater on the internet so I guess everything has its audience. As far as I'm concerned, there is only one thing to do about this game. Skip and look for something else. And yes, I mean skip pirating it, in times of global lockdown bandwidth is valuable.

Really liked the game and the art, it could improve in many many ways...hope creator does not drop this, I really think it has a lot of potential. would love to see more action and ntr routes also, sister character is the best...it could go only with this char and be an excellent game

Takes a while before any H scenes show up. I love the art style and how it look on people in the game. Needs more H scenes in the future updates. I don't like that the rest of the areas are locked for future updates but that is to be expected.

As an adult game, this is the epitomy of fail. 1 HJ after 18 months, and pretty much 0 progress with any of the 4 girls.

The game is basically a life simulator that is wholly obsessed with all the boring and mundane aspects of life and none of the excitement. In the latest update for instance, the dev added a "gameplay feature" that makes the MC ill for 2 weeks which forces him to remain at home. That's what this dev calls a "gameplay feature". I call it shit. Just another lazy mechanic to drag out the length of this game which has next to no content but many hours of pointless, boring grinding with no rewards for enduring it.

Happy Summer? Hahaha.

1 star because of the renders. It could've been 2, but getting to see them requires playing this terrible game. So yes, I would've scored this higher just for a zip file containing the renders. That's how bad the game is.

played this a loooong time ago with no scenes, come back to find out there is still no scenes. seems like a dude just milking his patrons for very minimal effort and content. character doesn't even look great, most people probably come for the fetish, but don't waste your time. you'll regret it if you do.

Nice art, but that was true of 'My Sara' too... other than the art though there are no redeaming qualities to be found here.

'Happy Summer ' you will find is a fap-free pile of annoying repitition. The Dev created this game to milk patrons not tell a story and in that he has succeded. The grind you will find is not a flaw, its the point. This game is grindy just to be grindy, waste time and drag you. Be warned, there is no reward for your efforts, just more grind. Unless and until Caizer stops the milk run and shows some progress in the story then I would reccomend you do yourself a favor and play something else. There are lots of great games on this site, but this is not one of them.

This game is 50% keeping stats up which is boring as hell, 45% grinding scenes with charaters to get relationship points and 5% story.

Cant save during a scene so you either have to save before doing anything so you dont miss it or start from your last save and grind all over again but make sure its a good scene as there are on 20 save slots, also even through this game is mostly repeated grinding scenes there is no skip function.

The charaters and backrounds are very nice plus the animations are smoother than you would expect and i would love to give it a higher score for that but if i cant repeat the scenes its kind of all wasted.

Can you say...grind? Holy shit - the dev has made it even worse by requiring you to click at least 3 or 4 times to repeat the meaningless actions to continue the grind.

Models are nice - visually the game is appealing, but quickly degenerates into a click fest.

I know you are reading this in search of a guide. Worse the scores on this page are a joke. Here are many clickers who understand an adult game like clicking on the screen until the next scene. This is a game where you must be aware of your needs and money and a plot that is gradually being built. If you like graphic novels this is not for you, if you want a game with good animations and immersion if it is.

In fact, the game has a different character structure that draws attention. Renders look good. On the other hand, it cannot be said that it has a real subject. Game updates are progressing very slowly. Although I like the general character structures and renderings; Their daily repetition is seriously disturbing. Well - let's start many updates ago - it was a very promising nice game and seemed to be worth to play.

But then it turned into pure hell. The grind is horrible. You have to spent more time to keep your stats up than you are able to progress with the girls.
Speaking of progressing the girls - you have mostly no single clue what you should do or how you can continue. There is no hint system at all. Even the nice characters (if you like that style) can't help over the massive turn-off due to grinding.
Finally even after several updates, there is not really a progress for the girls. They maybe change their cloths, or you see them at new locations, but that's all.
There is no real story, no feelings - nothing what could make worth a single minute spending on that "game".

i love this style and story is good.

updates are small but come regularly, it is best to miss a few months and then catch up in one go.

Would also like to see some sort of replay function.

Based on the "objective" "honest" reviews one could expect for this to be the worst, or nearly the worst, game ever...
I guess all that reviewers are skilled game creators and gamers who are created and/or played a bunch of top notch games with exciting stories, with no grind, hot real-looking ladies loosing their panties as soon as the mc approaches and holly wetness all around....
Nope, this game has almost nothing of it, yet it has some interesting ladies, a slowly developing relations, and story where the mc is not superhero/superdick, yet an ordinary guy with ordinary struggles..he has to eat, piss, bathe and work, and there is no easy sex for him.
Yep, some scenes could be repetitive and the game needs balancing a bit, but this game is far from the worst game here. So, for matters of balancing those "objective honest skilled" ratings/reviews, five stars from me.

Im very curious why the dev decided to start this project and still working on it without giving care to what the community is saying.
Theres nothing good about it, Characters that reminds me of barbie dolls, boring story, no excitement and grindy.
Stay away from this game, do not compare this to his "abandoned" project called My Lovely Sara because its totally different.
This game, if you can call it that is a bad idea.

The game is right now most content with Rose. But I'm more interested in the girl in library.

Slow, damn slow updates and little content but characters look unique, sexy and damn great. I think that using those models in interactive 3D game could be possible. Like with unreal engine or unity. Besides that it has great potential but as I said too little content to truly enjoy it and too much grind for my taste.

Edit: Did I say slow updates and little content? Dev made sure to make my words a reality. Not only did he make sure to add as little content as possible per update. He actually made it more annoying to get to said content by adding unnecessary grind to this game to make playing it all the more annoying and uninteresting. With little to no hint how to get to said content. It looks like dev does this game as a hobby in his spare time and gets sick enjoyment from reading comments about how bad is his game and how frustrating it gets to see new updates. Besides nice renders this game offers nothing but frustration, wasted time and blue balls. Nothing worth your time. I personally haven't even played recent update but I just needed to vent my frustration when I saw it's new update. Even when I dreamt about a day this dev abandons this title and forgets about its existance. He still churns out miniscule updates to this grindfest of a "game".

Visually exceptional! Might belong to the cutest art styles ever made, but their free-roam concept looks at least questionable yet like a shop with no goods (v0.1.9). The pace is "low key" and (yeah) I wouldn't want it any other way! Having to watch out for all daily needs a) to stay in the mood and b) to pay the bills, felt like torture after a while.
