Ren'Py - Happy Summer [v0.6.7] [Caizer Games]

I think game will be "abandoned". It's no way that game with already 2 YEARS of "development" has like "nothing" in general to play for it's basis as it were described. With such slow rate of the game developing it needs like 7-8 years to be released.

The story? It's average normal story of like most of the games with such genre. It does not has it's raisin to get excited.

The graphics? Good. It's decent for games like this and it's "soft" for the eyes.

The time for development of the updates is insane and updates brings like "nothing" basically, just some animations and some minor things that do nothing and does not even make some of the story for the characters or the MC itself.

That's all. Cause game has nothing good or bad in it's general for now besides Above. Everything else is not having it's own resin to grab players. It's just average game with some of the story, long development "plans" which is giving doubts of the game ever come out and good graphical assets.

Maybe it will become complete game in the long future, which is I also doubt cause I have my experience looking after it's development. But I am surely has enough of seeing that it stands in the same place and not even progressing into at least decent game with at least decent story. But it will surely be some "miracle" as I could think about it to see the game come out with its style.

Decent story lots of options for the developer to decide whats next nice characters they do look different to most animations so its good to see something different lots of potential compared to other games that are at a similar atage in their own stories

Review:
This game could have potential, I said it could. But it seems to be a game that will never end, but not only that, the content added in the monthly update is very short and small, and even so, not much sexual content is added, but an exhaustive grind quite boring.

PROS:
The only good thing about this game is the rendering of the characters female model, both Rosie and Lucy.

CONS:
The game does not contain enough sexual content. The gameplay of this game is an exhausting grind with empty actions and interactions. You need to grind to trigger events with the characters. This is pretty bad for a point-n-click sandbox game, having a completely empty game, it would be easier to turn this into a VN. There is no function for the player to skip the dialogs, or to accelerate using some key, it's horrible to have to keep clicking in the same dialog because it is quite tiring and boring.
There is no gallery scene or rollback, but also, there are very few scenes that this game has. And there’s also no hint or information to do, in many cases, you will not know what to do to make the next event be triggered.

Why I did gave 1 star?
As I said, it could be a good game, if the developer had more appetite for your game, but it seems that it is a game that is being updated little by little and that is also not very satisfactory. Sandbox completely empty, very limited. You don't have the feeling of playing a game that can interact and move forward, build relationships and have the main thing that every porn game has, sexual content. Unfortunately the story of the game doesn’t help much, as your involvement doesn’t arouse much interest, it’s clear that for an incest game or not, players want to enjoy exciting content, but even that does not provide the game. There are moments during the game you think, okay, the dialogues are not very attractive, but we will follow the story, and then there is a delay in doing things, what is the grind of the game, and yet you wait for something and see that the content is not advancing and then you give up on it. Anyway, the game has two years of development, small and big things in the game could have been changed, I know that making a porn game is not easy, but it is difficult to support a job like this, so I wish the dev luck.

I love the art of this game, it's just beautiful. The story is very interesting! The animations are perfect. Out of all the games on this site it is one of the only ones to date that I will pay a full subscription on PATREON. I can't wait for the next update.

this games released basically zero content in the past few years.. I've seriously played porngame demos with more content than this garbage..

and to add insult to injury as over this update the devs addedporn/cam girl spam URL shortcut files included in the game folder.

The idea for this game is pretty nice. Unfortunatly the game is so far in a click and play or sandbox version pretty boring full of repeating routine stuff, which makes me feel like I waste my time with this game. The time line could have been other solved to explain, that things not change over night with the other characters. The quality of the pictures and the design is nice from my point of view, but the bad game design (sandbox and repeating stuff) makes me give so far only 2 of 5 stars. The game have anyway some potential and maybe the game developer can change this boring routine stuff in the game...

Caizer games already has a history of abandoning it's project. It is likely they will do the same with this one.
From the beginning there has been next to nothing in new content, and after almost 2 years it still has barely any content that would make it worth downloading.

No dev should have a project go on for years, with little content, and still accept money from patrons. These projects are not hollywood movies, they are little adult story/games, that are not important. Anyone that supports a dev for years for so little content is foolish.

The Graphics in Happy Summer are the only reason that anyone even downloads it. They are superior to many others, but there is next to nothing in content, and Caizer counts on the graphics only, to keep patrons.

Writing - Pretty bad actually, a lot of sentences don't make sense.
Story - What story ?, there isn't enough to be called a story.
Grind - Unbelievable grind for so little content.

Ultimately, not worth supporting since they always put out minor drips of content over long wait times, and have show that habit will likely not change. Who the hell has years to wait for this stuff.

I made the right decision to not play this game for a couple years. Content is finally starting to come out and it's quality and unique. Definitely recommend it. Don't recommend playing the game, however. Instead I'd suggest finding some save files from kind souls who've done us all a favor and gone through the grind. The 5 is soley for fappability, which the latest update earns itself.

It's slow and does not progress as an adult game. So, ultimately super boring and gives me blueballs. The character design is very nice, but if there is nothing going on then what is the point of the game? This game is Terrible.

Never-ending grind, no skip, mediocre content so far, awful English. The graphics are a strength, but not nearly enough to make up for the pointless nightmare grind. There's a reason most games don't do that.

Yes, I would also like there to be more "action" in this game. Yes, I would also like the game to be available as version 1.0 already.

But that just shows that the game is good. The three girls are all sweet as sugar.

No content for 3 years! Empty game: empty dialogues, empty characters, empty script, almost no explicit scenes...
There were still hopes before... But now I can with such slow work, you can say for sure-the author is a real fraud.
I hope people stop supporting it!

The comments say it all tbf. 2 years in the making, I read, and no content and i have to agree and after checking his previous game, he is not in it for anything but money. Just, don't waste your time and don't waste your money.

Almost 2 years that the game is out and you keep on grinding forverer for still almost 0 content. So sad since the game and graphics are really nice. The story itself is not bad but again it is intented to be a porn game and even if I get that dev want to extend his income period, he really needs to deliver some content if he don't want his game to continue dying slowly.

I had a high hope after playing my lovely sara but After wasting 10s of hours. I can say this is the worst grinding game ever. There is vary little contant. Only this is good about this game is just. The render. Not recommended

An insanely slow-burning slice of life that can only be explained as a money-milker from the dev. Unique models, nothing-happening story. / / If you're here for a great game, go somewhere else. It will leave you stressed and annoying rather than satisfied.

I thought I'd give an honest review of this game, because many reviews so far are just venting frustration at the state of the game. Sadly, many of the complaints are justified.

The Good

- The art and character models are fantastic. I love this style of art, it's not realistic but that's it's charm. Rosie is super hot!
- The 'life meter' game mechanics are pretty neat, copied from The Sims. I'm surprised more sandbox games haven't implemented this gameplay.
- The animations (what little there is) are smooth and very well done. I could watch Rosie on the tread mill all day.
- The UI is pretty good, but the map button needs to be made more obvious.
- Can be surprisingly fun if you use the cheat mod and walkthrough.

The Bad (oooooh boy....)

- Game is frustrating and tediously repetitive if you do not use the cheat mod and walkthrough.
- The grind...my god the grind. Using the cheat mod makes it more bearable, but even with it it's still there.
- There are not many events, and only one sex scene (so far), and they can be easily missed or impossible to find without the walkthrough.
- The dev is clearly not an English speaker, and while the Engrish is real, you can basically understand what is going on. The game would be so much better with a proof reader. Some potentially emotional moments are completely ruined by bad translation.
- Game updates are incredibly slow, with only very small amounts of added content.
- The life needs mechanics are cool, but without the cheat mod they just serve to frustrate and slow you down. Nothing worse than missing an event window because you need to use the toilet.

The Ugly

- There has been the addition of a couple of side characters, neither of which look that good or interesting. It's depressing to think development time is going to be wasted on them given updates are already so slow and small.
- Other than a relationship meter with a % bar, there is no indication of what events are available with each character. A walkthrough is sort of mandatory.

I have developed a love - hate relationship with this game. There is a lot to love about it, but it is ruined by all the things I hate about it. I originally played it a year ago, and playing it again now I enjoyed the new content but there is so very little. Unless the dev recruits help, it won't be completed in our lifetime.

If you do decide to check this game out, make sure you download the cheat mod and walkthrough. Despite the frustrations, it's worth a solid look.

Please don't waste your time playing this game.
The game has been released for more than a year, with very little Sexual content, the game has little content, and the development is extremely slow.
The game design is very bad, you can’t skip the text, every time you want to talk to someone, the only thing you can do is keep clicking and clicking mouse.

Really promising until they started introducing things like the "you get sick and can't do anything fun and there is no cure" patch. Now each new version promises to be more disappointing than the last one. Recommend waiting and seeing if the game ever reaches completion instead of downloading the incremental releases, maybe if you do that you won't get this bad vibe from it.
