You have to change your region because some games have a region 'lock' type of thing where if you are not using the Japanese locale, it doesn't launch. Now while some applications, like HFpApploc, bypass it, it does not work for every game. (Personal experience for some games, please correct me if I'm wrong.)

Then I'm out of ideas. I know some japanese games but those games I know are from the days of Sagara Family, Let's Meow Meow, etc.
