Just a generally weird setting decision.
Not necessarily because its missing pregnancy itself(most games that include it only use it as an ending anyway)but rather because the execution feels like...blueballing?
Constant talk about the topic without any payoff(well maybe the game does have it in its ending but thats a bit too far off for such a long nukige with such a specific narrative focus).
No clue who this was aimed at since all it ultimately delivers is impregnation dirty talk...and the group of consumers that really only want that cant be particularly sizeable(thats not even getting into the squicky abortion topic...which I guess could be another focus group but considering how its just completely handwaved in the narrative I doubt it).
Whole thing is just confusing.
