Mod Ren'Py Harem Hotel: Expanded Mod / Lain's Walkthrough Mod [v0.17.2] [Maid Lain]

If you had downloaded and installed any of my previous mod releases for game version v0.18.0 ("v0.18.0" or "v0.18.0 bugfix1"), you only need the patch download (patch-to-bugfix2). This patch only contains the few modded files I had to modify since my initial mod release.

Otherwise, you need the full download for bugfix2.

I had two rounds of discovering I had missed a few bits, and I did the additional patch release at the end to avoid people having to download the entire 137-138 MB thing once again, when the only difference was those specific files inside it (closer to 7 MB).

So, basically, it depends what you already have downloaded. If you're not sure, safest bet is to just download the main one (first MEGA or Proton Drive download links in that post) - and if so, you don't also need the patch download.

By logic bugfix 2 is the update containig a fix for bugfix 1 however you are also saying that if i didn't used before your mod i won't need bugfix 2, so is bugfix 2 a fix for pre-fix containing the same files of bugfix 1? if is so why calling it bugfix 2 if is actually patch to bugfix 1?

I'm actaully unsure how many version of this mod were released, there were 2 bugifx 1, or perhaps you were talking about full/patch? Names are important xD

OK, history of my updated mod post (this might serve to clear this up):

• 2024-10-03: My initial release: "Harem_Hotel_v0.18.0_LainsMod"
• Several bugs were found during the weekend, which lead me to start fixing bugs on that release.
• 2024-10-07 (afternoon): My second release: "Harem_Hotel_v0.18.0_LainsMod-bugfix1"
• A few more bugs were found in the hours after that release, which lead me to fix further bugs.
• 2024-10-07 (evening): My third and (so far) latest release: "Harem_Hotel_v0.18.0_LainsMod-bugfix2"
  • Given the size of a full download, I also released an alternative file: "Harem_Hotel_v0.18.0_LainsMod-patch-to-bugfix2"
  • This is a patch for those who downloaded either "Harem_Hotel_v0.18.0_LainsMod" or "Harem_Hotel_v0.18.0_LainsMod-bugfix1", so they don't have to re-download the entire mod file.

Like I said, if you only have the base game ("Harem_Hotel-v0.18.0-pc"), you only need that last mod release, "Harem_Hotel_v0.18.0_LainsMod-bugfix2" (which, as mentioned, is the second bugfix of my original mod release).

That's where the problem is, you never released the "Harem_Hotel_v0.18.0_LainsMod-bugfix2" as there is only the "Harem_Hotel_v0.18.0_LainsMod-patch-to-bugfix2", the main download is "Harem_Hotel_v0.18.0_LainsMod-bugfix1.zip"
But yes i got it right even before asking, however is true that it was hard to understand due the lacking of files and weird interpretation of what you wrote

Updated my compressed Android port of Harem Hotel with Lain/JGNeon's walkthrough mod to v0.18.0.

Got some basic gestures loaded in: swipe up for save menu, swipe down to hide UI, swipe left to rollback and swipe right to skip. Save files are now stored in the Documents folder. This sometimes means that you may need to close and re-open the port after installing so the save folder is properly created.

Due to the size of this game, I've split it out so you will need to install the apk, run it to get it to create the game folder that can be found in your Documents folder: Documents/Eonor/e.haremhotel/game. Then move the archive.rpa file into that folder and re-run the port.

Phone file browsers often don't like large zip files. If you are getting an error when extracting the files from the zip, please try using the RAR app.

Please let me know if you encounter any issues with the port and I'll see what I can do to get them sorted.

I've not really been able to keep up/process the commentary on bugs encountered & stuff. Is the current state of your patched mod in relatively smooth working order? I think I'm almost to the point where I can start this one and I wanted to check in on things

The latest one seems to be in working order, no big complaints so far. The only issues encountered after my last update are also present if you only have the main game (un-modded), so those aren't the mod's fault.
