VN - Ren'Py - Harem Hotel [v0.17.2] [Runey]

Outstanding... exceeded any expectations I had , a must play you wont be disappointed. this will be a first, that I become a Patreon member totally worth it. Ive played several games here and never been so impressed.

What I like:
Hell, this game looks fine! Even though for some girls it's a little tough for me to shake that underage feeling, I really like the artstyle as a whole and the animations are the best I've seen in a Ren'Py title so far.

What I don't like:
There's not enough Ellen?

TLDR: Once you've built up a properly developed savegame this is the perfect game for "Hey, I'm horny, got a few minutes available and I'd like to see girl x in outfit y being used in whatever way available" - until then: Just enjoy the ride...

Its aight, needs more Ellen though, step on it lad, chop chop. Ann too. God damn it there needs to be 200 characters in this huh, umm its a nice story that has some decent porn with it *I guess*, the character developments are nice, not gonna lie, designs? Meh, only the thiccer ones are nice, ummm Runey is a cool dood, loves his fans, talks to ppl, oh wait this is supposed to be about the game huh, I mean, its aight. Cant wait for 0.6. Oh and please dont expect this to be a spank and wank, you'll get a trip down the feels lane for real for real (wouldve said fr fr but need 200 characters so). 10/10.

This is a solid 4.5 rated game. There are no half stars so I'm voting up for Runey.

Pros:
- Good renders and graphics
- Good animations
- Beautiful characters
- Excellent writing (5 stars)
- Lots of humor
- Unique setting and story
- Good gameplay
- Excellent character progression with the hotel residents (girls)
- Each girl has a unique personality and background
- Ashley's mom events are some of the funniest in the game
- Author is friendly and active on the forum and listens to player input which is rare and awesome (5 stars)

Cons:
- Some of the events don't scale to character development. Generic scenes are sometimes used when you have a low relationship with the girl or a high relationship (same event is used).
- So far in version 5.2, the player doesn't really experience any crisis or hardships in the game aside from just slowly earning money and developing the girls in the hotel.
- Coding and design could be improved in a few areas. Players can easily break the story and girl progression by cheating the wrong stat.
- Wish there were more unique events that took place outside the regular event areas of the game
- Game isn't finished so some of the girls don't have much story or events yet

Overall, a great game with lots of potential! I highly recommend you give this game a try!

Pretty good game.

Writing is decent, but the highlight of this game comes from the kind of sex scenes it has. There was a decent amount in the last build I played, with certain references that make the game more enjoyable. Characters are pretty likable, but like a lot of games where updates might take months, its easy to forget the names of the characters, and only recognize the faces.

Ashley being my favorite makes her easy to remember, and a big reason that this game is really enjoyable. There's a lot of satisfaction that the dev has given, thanks to her popularity. Definitely one of my top 5 games on this site.

Firstly I must say that this is one of my favorite games around here.
it have everything frome story to renders and animations.
the use of the honey select models and animations is done very well
The Playbilty of the game is very addictive , you dont have to worry much about getting bored and you can definitely repeat the game all over again.
In my Playthrough, I didn't experience any bugs or game-breaking moments.
The Grammer from what I have seen was mostly top notch (definitely better than mine XD)
The amount of content the dev pushes out is amazing
I know that when a new update comes it won't disappoint me

This is not a 5 stars because for me 5 wolud be perfection, for me it's a 4,5 stars, but that rating does not exist. First of all I want to advice you, this is a only one-handed game. Just the creator, no writing, no coder, just Runey, the dev. Why the advice? Because when you realice the amount of work, content, quality, love in this game you will be amazed. Whit the future update 0.5 the scenes, events and history are like completed games in this forum, and we are talking about a v 0.5 version. Six months since the launch of the 1st version ( on may, this is writed on november) and Runey is growing and growing in patreons, whith better numbers than games here whith 1 year of developing. The dev is allways here like one more in this forum, allways open to ideas, it's like if you were one patreon. Afraid of milking, no worries Runey is pretty acurate releasing updates, and if it's some delay on his update you are awarded whith more content and scenes, of course you want more, but you will be never dissapointed. I'm triying very hard to tell you any cons in this game and it's hard to say, maybe the game need more work on backgrounds, and locations, more details in furniture maybe, to make the hotel more confortable. And one more "but"? Maybe the characters, all characters are young or have a child face, if your are looking milfs ore mature women it's not your game (for now).

Harem Hotel has been one of my favorite games that I've found on here, thus far. I absolutely love the story, and all of the background we get on the characters. I CAN'T wait for the future updates. I would have to say my character preference is: Lin, Kali, Android/Clones/Twins (hard to decide on those 3 for me), Ashley, and Maria falling in to last place. I really enjoyed this game, thank you, Runey!

It's one of the best games i found here. Love the way you are free to explore one girl or more girls at once. Most same kind of games need you to grind or play mini games for money but here it's easy , just spend a day. Waiting for new content

The game is very enjoyable with a lot of fun options, with the different characters, from the chat, purchasing options, and how to raise the affection, obedience, and other characteristics to characters.

Fresh takes on the usual character tropes. Genuinely likable characters.

Not riddled with spelling and grammar mistakes, or a ton of super cringey dialogue (which this genre is usually plagued by).

Plenty of art and events to keep you busy. Clearly a lot of effort has gone into those.

Some of the poses had awkward clipping. Seeing a dude with a dick sticking out of his pants (instead of out of his body) is a bit immersion-breaking, but not really a deal-breaker.

On the whole, a remarkably good project in a sea of mediocrity. Keep it up!

This review is based on version 0.4 since that is the latest version at the time of its release! There are also some spoilers. Also, I apologize since this is my first review.

Harem Hotel is an amazing game. And that is something that’s incredibly impressive to me since I started playing back when it was version 0.1. Even then I loved every minute of it and didn’t feel like it was a wasted opportunity like other games usually are at 0.1. The game uses character creation assets and environments from Honey Select but amazingly looks great! Normally it can be hit or miss because of how complex HS is but all the girls look drop dead gorgeous. The environments are great looking as well!

As the MC, you must take over a hotel left by your deceased grandfather and soon become acquainted with some sexy girls. As you continue in the game, you encounter more girls that join your hotel. Each of them has their own little quirks that make them stand out from the others. You have Kali, the tsundere girl who quickly falls in love with the main character but is afraid of losing him due to her past of being body shamed; Maria, a sexual deviant who soon comes to fall in love with the MC; Emma, a popular girl who has a hidden side of being interested in tech and hoping for something more with the MC; etc.

The game uses the Renpy engine so it’s easy to manage and is compatible with many computers. There are no quick time mechanics and getting money to use for various things such as buying outfits for the girls or upgrading the hotel is easy to get. You get money daily from the girls as payment for living in the hotel, but you also can find different ways to get money yourself. From getting tips from one of the girls to taking pinups of the ladies, it’s quick and efficient in my opinion (I myself never had much trouble having enough money). You can also participate in things called Dreamscape events where non-canon things happen in the game. I stopped playing those events in later updates due to personal tastes but there is something for everyone.

Currently at its release, the game is packed with story events as well as extra things that bring a lot of life to the hotel! All girls have a great story so far and will easily have fanbases depending on what the fans like haha. The newest girls, Emma and Felicity, though a bit lighter content wise (because you know, they’re new) are equally as entertaining and loving in their own ways and they both stand out in 0.4.

I’ve played a lot of pornographic games and I can safely say that Harem Hotel is excellent. I love this game and I can’t wait to see what Runey brings to the table in future updates. The best thing is that he updates frequently and is completely open about the process. It’s the first game I have supported on Patreon and I’ve been completely satisfied. You won’t regret your time with this game.

This game is insane. Version 0.4 has so much content that other games can't reach that when they are finished. Yes it might be grindy but you always grind new content to get new content. You can obviously grind stats for traits but they don't really have that much meaning as of now. There are so many characters worth exploring. And (maybe you should sit down for this one) they have a story. Story worth reading some of them had quite a shitty life before they came to you and it's only up to you how you are going to behave. It's a great game and if you can consider supporting the developer. I don't have that many reviews on this site but this one is 100% heartfelt. Keep it up!

I have to say that this game will surprise you. On the surface it looks like any other manga inspired adult visual novel. Well trust me, it's not.

Runey has created a game that has the visual style of the genre, however with more depth and content than you can usually assign to a game of this style. Each character is unique and their portrayal is true to their character design. The rendering style is simple, but true to the style and the animations are sublime.

The game allows you to make your own choices, however each character still has a story and develops through the game. The updates are regular and each brings a surprising amount of content. A game worthy of a look and also of your support.

PS: Ashley may be a little crazy, but she is my kind of crazy.

The girls featured in the game are full of life and have varied personalities, models are good cause they come from honey select, and the dev puts work to have animated scenes as well.

Good content, pretty long running if you read the stories, and even if you don't there is a lot going on. Have been checking back since at least V.0.2 (maybe earlier but I don't remember now) and every update is packed full of good stuff. I really like the tact taken with the character you get to name yourself, some very interesting and unique stuff with her.

Good looking girls with a nice art style. The individual storylines are fun, and unlocking different scenes isn't a total grind like some games. Every update includes actual content, girls, and gameplay.

Could be a little better with some features, spying seems useless a lot of the time for example. But overall an awesome game.

It has lots of content and that content starts at good quality and only gets better with every release. It has a good variety of girls and kinks. The only possible improvement I would request would be vocal audio to enhance the sexual scenes, but I understand that not being priority.

Definitely in my top 3, if not just completely my favorite.
