We also see Kali concerned about what happens if they see the sanctuary, suggesting that she thinks something illegal is going on there--and there isn't, unless you count sheltering Nia, but nobody knows her identity at this point.
Might be a stretch in my own thinking but I assumed that Kali not wanting them to see Sanctuary was more on how the elves were treated and less about illegal going-ons happening there. The elves live like people, don't have to wear collars and can relax and be themselves. We see very few spots where such things happen. I'm sure the MC isn't the first person to treat their slave like a decent person, but story beats have shown us that it is very few who actually own elves who do so. There are plenty of Autumns and Vanessas in the world, but very few like the MC/Grandfather. This is even true from Lin's point of view, as one of her events calls this out to Autumn, and we all know how sheltered her life has been. Hell, 3 elves kidnap the MC just at a chance at a better life, as goofy as that all went.

Is that information useful to the Ascendents? Unknown. Could it be dangerous to the MC? Possibly. Cornwell was entirely surprised at Lin's performance during the challenge simply because she cared for the MC (assuming you bothered to level her stats to win it). What could he do with the information on how the MC treats his slaves?

All conjecture and possibly wrong. Just the way I read into it though.

In universe, it could just be a need to know thing, don't give out more info than you need to.

Meta reason is that you may, or may not have done some of those other events yet.

Yeah, many are paid games (there are 73 games total). Almost all of them are in progress, most of them are here. This is just a way to help the devs and support their work. You can donate what you can. Seems more than fair to me.
Yeah, as long as the devs get their share, it’s still a neat idea. Thanks for sharing

Yeah, they do, everyone gets an equal share (unless they opt out), I know the guys organizing it. Been in a few myself.

I would love to see MC punching faces in the game. I wish this game had a strength/fight stat and a possibility to train them.

That'd be illegal in the setting and punching people around isn't that attractive. It always makes me cringe when the MC is a kungfu master and all the women around cream themselves over the prospect of physical violence. Hard thing to write well when you want to have grounded characters that somewhat behave like real people would.

Yeah, I was annoyed enough at his outburst over Maria, as if Cornhole went out of his way to get her tested and placed in those programs. Don't get me wrong, his plans are awful, but he had nothing to do with Maria's plan, that was all her. Hana even warned her not to do it. Cornhole was only indirectly to blame, and honestly, it's more the whole society, not him specifically.

Eh, kind of. I mean, yes, she did, but she knew perfectly well why not to do it and kept her mouth shut. Maria forgave her cowardice far too readily IMO.

None of which really addresses your (correct) point, which was that MC's outburst at Cornjob was mostly misdirected.

Hana didn't know she was a half elf, she just knew what would happen in her case, and didn't want something similar to happen to her friend, just in case. But wasn't able to just come out and say it because of her secret. She might have seen the scars (they were apparently obvious enough to anyone looking for them, unless that line was removed), but never really gave us any hint of that. If she had seen the scars, then yeah, she should have said something more there.

I don't think "I know I'd be screwed if I did this" really explains Hana's reaction. If she knew who/what Maria was? Her reaction makes sense, but she should have said more. If not, and she just knew she (Hana) would be screwed? I don't think she pushes that hard against it--particularly when "pushing hard" is pretty out of character for her.

And I don't really want Maria to hold a grudge against her, because I don't want needless drama in the first place. But I do think Hana's reaction is off--it's too much if she doesn't have any reason to believe Maria is a half-elf, and too little if she does.

Basing what happened to Maria on real life DNA results, it would be easy for Maria to think that she was safe.

Example: A friend of mine who is black and has dark skin had his DNA tested, so that he could find out where his ancestors came from.
Results: He was 82% European, with the rest from Africa, and sephartic Jewish ancestry.

Someone in the stories world, could easily believe that they are safe, when they are not.

Oh, I don't blame Maria at all--well, not very much, anyway. She was overly stubborn IMO, but "hardheaded" isn't exactly a foreign concept to her. There was someone else up-thread who felt this was out of character for her, but I didn't and don't agree. I, to a degree, blame Hana, as I think she knew more than she was saying, and if she had said it, the incident with Maria never would have happened.

It had to happen for the story, of course--it gets Maria 100% onboard the "free all elves" train, which is obviously where this story is heading. But I think that in-story, Hana could and should have prevented it.

She didn't know for sure, any more than anyone else, she just had some suspicions. Maybe she should have said more, but her whole life, she has been trained to hide anything about being a half-elf, and things related to it. If it comes out about her, she will be taken. It's quite understandable that she would not say more, even if you could see that she wanted to. It's the same reason that people who leave the church tend to still have a fear of hell for a long time. Being traumatized as a child makes for hard walls to break down.

But again, meta reason, would be that if she said something, it wouldn't have had the same impact on the player.

Agreed--as I noted above, it had to happen. I didn't like it, but that was a significant part of the point of the event--I wasn't supposed to like it.

You extract it into the main folder, I think the game one, make sure the folders match.

Thank you for the time and effort put in to creating it.
If you haven't already, you might want to bring it to Runey's attention, because a feature like that built in to the game would be very handy.
