You are looking at it all wrong, this is not so much a game - it is a Visual Novel. There is scant to little actual gameplay with mechanics and combat and platforming lol. Now if you INSTEAD compare it to novels? Hoo boy, there are novel series several millions words long and continuing with thousands of characters and you tend not to see people growing that THEY are still going (in fact most people tend to want their favoured series to keep going so long as there is a reasonable chance then they time comes the author WILL give a satisfying conclusion). Instead they lean more on "arcs" so often a big arc will conclude and then another will start. Harem Hotel could have ended years ago but but would have been robbed of all the great characters and plotlines that have been added since.I will say, games like this are the reason I stopped playing incomplete games. 7 years working on this game. A lot of AAA games take around 5 to 6 years to make. Example: Resident Evil 4 (not the remake) took 6 years.
Yeah, I'm just whining and complaining to the void. I decided to do that instead of asking when the next update is and kill another fairy... oh wait. oh no. Sorry to the fairy that died just now.
Would have preferred that and instead his delivery was say Harem Hotel 2 (where we get to explore the city etc just the same as here... but with a different title to superficially act like a sequel?). I prefer what Runey has done here - all the story beats, all those HUNDREDS of sex scenes and all those girls accessible at a whim all in one place. Though i am a little done with the whole "remade x scenes" by now, i approved of that back in the day but he is STILL remaking old content and i think by now he should be using that development time to pad out some of the lesser featured content and girls - from the drunk at the bar to some of the slaves like Ann, i want more scenes for them and am much more hyped about that kind of thing vs having to restart the game for the 27th time to see what has changed yet again from the existing content.
