Good but too grindy

Character Design :
I created a lot of HoneySelect characters so I'm usually not amazed by HSmade characters. But here I have to admit it is pretty well done. Especially on the eyes area, a great job on that aspect. All girls are pretty different so you will always find one or two that suits your liking. However they might be sometimes a bit stereotyped like ashley or maria, but well...
Personnaly, I find Kali the most interesting one, because probably the closest to a real girl mind.

Story/Stories :
Rather than a global story that is just a random idea to create some reason for hentai, it is each character story that are interesting in this game. I have seen much better stories of course, but for a kind of management/grinding game, it is already more than the majority of the games. Each character has a pretty nice background story. The evolution of Lin and relationship elf/human is pretty interesting btw.

Sex scenes/renders :
They are good, most of them. They lack a bit of sexyness in my opinion, but well it is HS anyway... hard to do better.
I just regret the absence of throat/belly bulge, for example for ashley who is so thin while the MC cock is supposedly big. But again, hard with HS

The gameplay/content :
Ok here is the main downside, at least for me.
I have reached day 75 and I'm tired of visiting rooms doing the same thing , getting 10 blowjobs so I can get some title that will unlock me some sex scene. I would rather advance and unlock scenes because of an interesting story or an interesting gameplay. Sadly, even if the game has a lot of good points, I can't help but to find it a bit on the boring side, too much grinding, no much reason to keep motivated to get further.
The content seems to be pretty solid tho'

However, big up for Runey for the nice job overall, I do not regret having tried that game and I recommand people to give it a try. I will not finish it, but I can understand why some people love this game.

Lovely characters with each a different background. Honey Select characters are beautiful and animations are great. Each character's story is as developed as their sex scenes. Game often updated (once every 1-1.5 month)

Review made at version (0.5.3) The use of Honey Select in this game is top notch, No other game using honey Select I’ve seen has been anywhere near the quality of Harem Hotel. From background settings to character models to animated scenes Harem Hotel is above and beyond it’s competition. The open world(hotel) map is very easy to get around in and it seems every place has a reason for being and something to do. All the girls are very likable in personality and appearance. The story for each girl is very good and if you don’t like a specific girl you don’t have to do their story. This game from Quality, story telling and freedoms has earned its way into my top 3 favorite adult games and I would 10/10 recommend you try it out now!

Only Negatives i have for now are Lucia, Sylvia, & Ellen aren't main girls ;P lmao

I think the strongest point of this game is it's characters. Honey select can be pretty limiting with a lot of people saying all HS characters look the same but this game absolutely proves them wrong with a variety of character designs which, combined with great writing, makes each character feels unique and causes you to actually get invested in them outside of sex (of course the h scenes are great as well).

Mechanically the game is fairly simple, which I consider to be a positive, all scenes can be seen in one playthough and you won't find yourself needing to ask for help every 10 minutes which really helps you pay attention and get somewhat immersed in the story.

The H scenes are varried and theres something for everyone in this game, additionally the outfit options and variable dialogue makes replying scenes actually interesting instead of a grind.

Love this game!
Nice work Runey, I enjoy the game play as it gets you into the action really quickly and keeps you interested with the variety of girls you have to play with and level up.

The story is great and really well thought out. Characters have personalities that are distinct and different for each character

The Harem idea is pretty popular, the only confusion is that it seems to be more of an apartment/condo (in game) instead of a hotel, but Harem Hotel runs off of the tongue a lot better than Harem Condo/Harem Apartments

Animation : 10/10
Animations run smooth, haven't had any problems with them, and they are of great quality.

gameplay (Mac/PC) : 10/10
Very simple game mechanics, everything runs smooth, haven't had a crashed. Great amount of gameplay for just a V0.5.3

Great game, worth a play through!

The animations looks terrible in some scenes, especillay the first ones. I almost dropped the game because of it. But they become much better later on. Totally worth it. (dev should remake the bad ones, though)

Characters look good, and I love the costumes they can wear. Only the android has an ugly face (that's why she uses a mask). It would be interesting to see an option to buy her a new one.

The game has plenty of content. But fail could do a better job to let you know which scenes you still haven't unlocked.

This game is great and already has a ton going for it.

As of writing this the game is on patch 0.5.3, with plenty of content to go through and numerous character, the potential and direction of this game seems pretty locked in.

The various characters are well written (well, porn game standards) and are likeable.

The art itself is pretty good, switching from static 3d images to animated ones is done pretty well as well so that it's not jarring to go through.

The general atmosphere and story are okay, this feels a bit that can be expanded upon but as of writing this it's all still in progress and with how things are going i do expect there to be a satisfying conclusion to everything.

In overall this game is definitely worth a try and shows great potential, updates and communication is frequent and there's already plenty of content for people to enjoy.

Outstanding... exceeded any expectations I had , a must play you wont be disappointed. this will be a first, that I become a Patreon member totally worth it. Ive played several games here and never been so impressed.

What I like:
Hell, this game looks fine! Even though for some girls it's a little tough for me to shake that underage feeling, I really like the artstyle as a whole and the animations are the best I've seen in a Ren'Py title so far.

What I don't like:
There's not enough Ellen?

TLDR: Once you've built up a properly developed savegame this is the perfect game for "Hey, I'm horny, got a few minutes available and I'd like to see girl x in outfit y being used in whatever way available" - until then: Just enjoy the ride...

God damn it there needs to be 200 characters in this huh, umm its a nice story that has some decent porn with it *I guess*, the character developments are nice, not gonna lie, designs? This is a solid 4.5 rated game. There are no half stars so I'm voting up for Runey.

Pros:
- Good renders and graphics

- Beautiful characters
- Excellent writing (5 stars)
- Lots of humor
- Unique setting and story
- Good gameplay
- Excellent character progression with the hotel residents (girls)
- Each girl has a unique personality and background
- Ashley's mom events are some of the funniest in the game
- Author is friendly and active on the forum and listens to player input which is rare and awesome (5 stars)

Cons:
- Some of the events don't scale to character development. Generic scenes are sometimes used when you have a low relationship with the girl or a high relationship (same event is used).
- So far in version 5.2, the player doesn't really experience any crisis or hardships in the game aside from just slowly earning money and developing the girls in the hotel.
- Coding and design could be improved in a few areas. Players can easily break the story and girl progression by cheating the wrong stat.
- Wish there were more unique events that took place outside the regular event areas of the game
- Game isn't finished so some of the girls don't have much story or events yet

Overall, a great game with lots of potential! I highly recommend you give this game a try!

Pretty good game.

Writing is decent, but the highlight of this game comes from the kind of sex scenes it has. There was a decent amount in the last build I played, with certain references that make the game more enjoyable. Characters are pretty likable, but like a lot of games where updates might take months, its easy to forget the names of the characters, and only recognize the faces.

Ashley being my favorite makes her easy to remember, and a big reason that this game is really enjoyable. There's a lot of satisfaction that the dev has given, thanks to her popularity. Definitely one of my top 5 games on this site.

Firstly I must say that this is one of my favorite games around here.

The Playbilty of the game is very addictive , you dont have to worry much about getting bored and you can definitely repeat the game all over again.
In my Playthrough, I didn't experience any bugs or game-breaking moments.
The Grammer from what I have seen was mostly top notch (definitely better than mine XD)
The amount of content the dev pushes out is amazing
I know that when a new update comes it won't disappoint me

This is not a 5 stars because for me 5 wolud be perfection, for me it's a 4,5 stars, but that rating does not exist. First of all I want to advice you, this is a only one-handed game. Just the creator, no writing, no coder, just Runey, the dev. Why the advice? Because when you realice the amount of work, content, quality, love in this game you will be amazed. Whit the future update 0.5 the scenes, events and history are like completed games in this forum, and we are talking about a v 0.5 version. Six months since the launch of the 1st version ( on may, this is writed on november) and Runey is growing and growing in patreons, whith better numbers than games here whith 1 year of developing. The dev is allways here like one more in this forum, allways open to ideas, it's like if you were one patreon. Afraid of milking, no worries Runey is pretty acurate releasing updates, and if it's some delay on his update you are awarded whith more content and scenes, of course you want more, but you will be never dissapointed. I'm triying very hard to tell you any cons in this game and it's hard to say, maybe the game need more work on backgrounds, and locations, more details in furniture maybe, to make the hotel more confortable. And one more "but"? Maybe the characters, all characters are young or have a child face, if your are looking milfs ore mature women it's not your game (for now).

Harem Hotel has been one of my favorite games that I've found on here, thus far. I absolutely love the story, and all of the background we get on the characters. I CAN'T wait for the future updates. I would have to say my character preference is: Lin, Kali, Android/Clones/Twins (hard to decide on those 3 for me), Ashley, and Maria falling in to last place. It's one of the best games i found here. Love the way you are free to explore one girl or more girls at once. Most same kind of games need you to grind or play mini games for money but here it's easy , just spend a day. Waiting for new content
