Ah yes I remember this game, I did play the original before all this remaster, overall it wasn't an interesting game, I always felt like it was a weird mix of stuff. On one hand we have a MC whose only objective seems to be trick girls into slavery and for whatever reason choices that stick to that objective were seen as light side, which I guess was light only compared to the dark choices.

To be fair rather than the whole weird plot I would have liked more if in the original it was mostly focused on harem conflicts, be aware that we have a multitude of characters and even the original game highlighted some harem conflicts but it was never truly developed.

Just to give an example we forcibly add a full lesbian character into the harem, that is also one of the slave girls in the harem, I remember that in the original she did even have lesbian sex with other harem members without the MC.

Overall for me it would have been a quite interesting game if it focused in exactly that rebelliouness of the harem, some girls wanting to leave, others perhaps falling into lesbianism, some wanting to please their master while others trying to dominate him. That kind of stuff is what I did expect when the original was in development but never happened, it was too much focused on the main story and even the bit of rebelliousness that happens gets solved quite fast and without any issue.

I don't remember if the game had any futa on it, I wouldn't be surprised since it was a magic focused world with quite a focus in the harem be it girls having sex with the MC; threesomes and orgies with the mc included and lesbian sex and orgies without the MC.

To be fair I don't dislike the original, but the main story was kinda bullshit to a point that I couldn't ignore, I would have liked just to be a game about getting new slaves and dealing with issues that happen in the harem, simple enough but it just works.

To explain the process needed for the rat nest / crowbar issue, if you can't progress and are confused.

1. Put the game's system.json then your save file into the save editor. The system file is in the data folder.
2. if your plague progress is at 8, change it to 9.
3. Go to the north-west building of the village and go upstairs and enter the room until it hits you with a dialogue.
4. Go back outside the buildining for more dialogue.
5. Go to the pub and talk to the woman at the counter.
6. Go to the main building north of the well and talk to the red head.
7. Go to the building in the north-east corner of the village.
8. Go into the basement and click the barrel in the north-east corner.
9. Go to the building you have to enter the back of just north-east of the well in the middle of the village.
10. Go downstairs and interact with the tools on the table and it should now give you the crowbar you needed.
11. Go back to the basement barrel and click it once again.
12. Click the spot the barrel just occupied - then click the otherside of the bookcase on the ground parrallel to where the barrel was.
13. Finally stand back on the spot the barrel originally started and click the right side of the bookcase.

And this confirms that, despite your high post count, you have learned nothing from this site. Harem and Swinging are not mutually exclusive. You can have a harem of girls and still share them without loosing them.

OK I'm damn well confused on remake so far not impressed. This version does not show what the fuck happened between Donna and Gorge. Also I can not even figure out in the quest what I am suppose to do to save her. The original version was very easy to understand and did not say something about locked fucking content. WTF has been done this this game?

Hello everyone. We have bad news and good news.

The bad news is, as our main artist, my Koikatsu crashed during the final push before 3m6's release, causing me to lose the last few scenes that were not yet backed up. This means that our release will be on the last day of February, the 29th. I am in the process of reinstalling and re-modding Koikatsu to get back to work, though I won't be finished in time to make the release window.

The good news is Rae will finish the last scene, a Sarah Light path scene. This means if you are on the light path, you will see a jump in quality for this scene, possibly making it your favorite! The other goods news is Alsr has been hard at work on reworking the sprites for the game, and you will see their amazing work in 3m6. They are still working through the sprites, so please be patient as there will be some mixed quality sprites for a few updates.

The next bad/good news is for Legates. The two Legate scenes that were planned for this release were corrupted. We will be releasing a hot patch update with THREE Legate scenes instead for you as soon as the art team is back up and able to complete them. This will of course not be charged.

To a degree theres 2. Kuroki's public discord still exists, though people don't talk there much. The Fylokon games discord server is supporter locked.

Likely because this game holds some amount of nostalgia for many lewd gamers. Lots of us have been perusing the H-game scene for well over a decade or two at this point (some of us going as far back as the 90's lol), and Ker's Harem RPG was a super popular game for many years back then, so I have little doubt that most of the folks working on these remakes were fans of the game back then, too.

There's also the (slightly more nefarious) possibility of folks wanting to remake this so they can get some of that sweet sweet Patreon money. I'm not saying that's what's happening here, but the fact that they have a Patreon and an Itch page means it's always a possibility. I don't really get that impression personally, though... seems more like a labor of love sort of project. Who knows.

Having said all that, and as someone who sunk tons of hours into the original Harem RPG, I have basically zero interest in revisiting this game again, remake or not. I think I actually may have tried this one in the past, actually... if it wasn't this one, maybe it was one of the other remakes that folks have been chatting about here.

Either way, this game has run its course for me. From memory of the original, I really never liked the massive tonal (and mechanical) shift of the game once you arrive at the kingdom or whatever it's called. The first few acts of the game were great, but it all kind of fell apart for me after that. Felt like a game on rails and very few of the interactions felt compelling at all. Just my opinion though

You're correct that most of the team working on this Remake are long time fans/old workers with Ker. I myself started playing v2 of Harem maybe 6 or 7 years ago. Our programmer TG22 and proofreader Hiro used to work with Ker before Ker had to stop development of v2.

As for this just being a money grab, I can't blame anyone for thinking that since that very thing is way to prevalent in the adult gaming genre. While the team and I want to make this our full time jobs going forward, at the moment none of us make much off our work here. Personally my wife and I, who are the lead writer and artist respectivly, don't make anything off doing this at all. Our team gets paid before we do, and it's not much.

Finally I want to say I understand why Harem itself has run its course with you and many others. Being dropped and restarted multiple times, as well as the tone shift that happens in chapter 5 upon arrival to Corsix being a bit jarring. I think that there is one unavoidable swinging off-camera scene in game so far.

In all other cases you could choose to pay to avoid it.

To answer this a bit more fully, in the original Ker worked on mostly by himself (as I recall) it generally wasn't avoidable. In the second version Ker started after coming back where he had help but was the lead on, which you probably played, it was almost all avoidable, but there was one off-camera scene where Donna distracts a guy early on that wasn't avoidable. That's the same instance that isn't avoidable in this version.
