I am playing V1.01
HOW do you handle the "cross-counter" symbol?!?
I tried everything. I can successfully counter any attack so far. The only thing I canot counter is the counter symbol.
I tried to counter the attacker´s character, the symbol and tried magic and physical weapon. I got no clue.
Is it just bugged?
When I hover over the symbol the counter doesn´t even trigger.

You have to attack those, if I remember rightly

So if I hit the girl while that symbol shows up, it stops their action?

Usually a problem like that is caused when your graphics card is too old or graphics drivers are out of date.

depending on your card and make sure you have your latest drivers.You can also download their apps for auto-updates.
Maybe update your OS too, and if your OS isn't at least Windows 10, upgrade it entirely, since unfortunately Windows 7 and 8 (mainly 7 is unfortunate) aren't really properly supported anymore.
If that doesn't work, you can try re-downloading the game.
Finally, if all of that fails, you can make a shortcut for the game exe (ask google or chatgpt how to do this if you don't know how), and set the launch arg
-dx11, which will make your game try to use a legacy version of DirectX and Direct3D, which is what is erroring in that screenshot you sent.You have to click on the "Counter!" icon. If there are multiple, you have to click each one to prevent the move.
Got stuck on the option menu because I can't get out, got stuck in tutorial because can't middle click on a laptop I love menz game but if I can't play I can't enjoy it

Seems to be only the steam version, which I do not have. Dev is silent on patreon and has not updated the non-steam link. I have sent him a dm, we'll see if he answers.

it could just be numbering difference between platform/version. Since the 1.05 (steam) is just a bugfix, can you try to do a Cannon punch(check changelog) and see if the bug is gone? If it is, it could be the latest version on the other platform. Some of other game thread I'm in also have same update with different numbering between Steam vs Dlsite.
