Overview:
Harvesting Corruption is a dark but funny, choice-driven visual novel with the soul of an immersive sim. You can play as Annika, a rebellious Swedish exchange student, or Carter, a voyeuristic filmmaker, each with their own storyline, mechanics, and perspective on the same summer.
Explore the Brooks’ Ranch through days and nights filled with secrets, laughter, and danger. Build relationships or break them. Flirt, manipulate, or genuinely connect. Your Affinity, Corruption, and Morality shape every outcome. Choose Annika’s outfits with the wardrobe system, collect items for puzzles, and unlock hidden areas and conversations.

If you are still unsure how game development works and arrived intending to vent about one feature or another, a little context will help. This build is not a demo and it is certainly not a finished product. It is an Early Access Alpha, barely one month removed from the initial writing phase, and the project is at version 0.03. Bugs and incomplete content are part of that stage, particularly when the work is coming from a single, first-time developer rather than a large studio.


Creating a complete game in private would mean a year or more of unpaid labor with no community input, locking in systems long before anyone could say whether they were enjoyable. Early Access exists to avoid that trap. Because all updates are available to download for free as they are released, players who see the potential can report issues and offer constructive suggestions while the foundation is still flexible.


During an alpha the useful approach is straightforward: report bugs instead of complaining about them, ask about planned features rather than assuming absence equals neglect, and allow the creative direction to be tested. If something does not match your taste, step away and check back later instead of treating an evolving build as though it were 1.0.


For everyone else, thank you for playing and for engaging in the spirit Early Access alphas are meant for. Your reports and thoughtful feedback help the project grow, and I hope you enjoy where it goes next.

nice, and thank you, but, the bad thing about sandbox mode is that, if you keep changing the user interface (UI), previous saved game versions won't work. so... the problem here is, if i have to keep replaying your game, again and again, right from the start, it will drive me away, and potentially, a few of your supporters too. just saying, giving you a heads-up. so that you can change your mind very early on for using sandbox.

this was made evident in an inn sim game with UI that kept changing almost every update. every time that happened, old save were unplayable. so, the developer provided previously solved saved games so that he could tamper with the UI thingy as much as he wanted. i forgot the name of the game, but it used japanese anime style graphics in medieval japan, and a medieval japanese inn, with several services, staff training, and an actual plot.

the other problem here is that the developer gave minimal development to training staff skills, while i spent hundreds of game days to maximize staff skills. that pissed me off from playing the game, really, because all inn staff had multi skill sets. that would piss off your supporters as well. so really, please rethink the sandbox thing.

the other thing players have against sandbox is that most of them require you to be at certain places, at certain times. your players aren't psychic. so, please, if you insist on sandbox, provide an in game walk through. recommend you see steps of debauchery to see the game's in game walk through.

so, i won't download, nor play your game, until you say that you've developed a stable UI that will see your players to game completion, has an in game walk through, or that you will remove sandbox altogether. sorry but, that's my experience playing sandbox. not good.

Opened the game, loved the intro until the textbox. Please recode the textbox so that it doesn't cover a large part of the render! They are really beautiful but I HATE having to click extra every frame to close it. Some form of transparency would be at least appreciated.

Finally something new and interesting, a game where FMC can corrupt others. I hope Annika can play with the blonde guy(young version of Leon Kennedy). :love:

most new games have in game walk through. the old ones without, they provided for it as well. problem now, when UI changes, old saves won't work. and if developer provides new saves, will it even be the save path you want? say there are multiple of characters and multiple skills and you max some, or all of them, will the developer provide saved games with max skills the next time UI is changed?

unless there is a solemn guarantee (refunds to all supporters) that the UI will not change...
