VN - Ren'Py - Having a HARD Time [v0.4.1] [Quadruple-Q]

Great VN. The story is good enough for a porn plot although the tone can get all over the place. The strongest aspect is definitely the characters. Every character stands out and have their own unique quirk. The dialogues are also well-written. Well, this ain't Shakespeare or anything but at least they talk like how normal people would. The face expressions for the characters are a bit hit-and-miss (more hit than miss). At times their face can look weird and jarring but most of the times they look fine and sometimes even really good. They need to improve on the smiles tho. The smiles on the characters are kinda awkward looking.

The flavor texts are also a welcomed addition. You can check your phone for bios of all the characters with unique descriptions that are worth reading. There's also a Instagram-like app that you use to see what all the side characters are doing. All these really adds to the worldbuilding.

There are sandbox like element that I don't think fits this VN considering the linear nature of the game. There's one section of each episode where they will ask you whether you wanna hike, look for a job, workout, etc. If you pick one, then that's it. You'll only get one turn per episode. If they want us to explore, then they should give us more sections to freeroam. This is not a dealbreaker or anything. Just one thing that I think they could expand upon in future updates.

The sex scenes in ep. 1 are kinda rough animation-wise, but ep.2 & 3's animations improved a lot. Content-wise though? They are super hot. The sex scenes are definitely the best thing about this VN and that's the most important thing about a porn game, is it not? They're pretty lenghty and there's a lot of variety for everybody too. Giving climax scene for every sex positions is a great bonus. The extra mini game (where you click on the little dudes) to unlock bonus renders is also a great addition.

All and all, I highly recommend this VN. Don't know if this'll get you into futa (if you're not into it), but I think the sex scenes are at least worth checking out.

Everything about this game is superb. The writing is great and all of the people in it come across as natural and well reasoned. The renders look great and the H-scenes are very well done and hot. There is a good amount of humor without veering into overly wacky or cringe. Honestly I think this VN should be way more popular then it is, as it has quickly shot up to my top 10 of all time.

I've played hundreds of games here and i can say that "Having a HARD time" it is in my top 3 for sure. Everything that is needed in a well made game this game has.

- Good choice of songs (i hate games without songs)

CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED!

I'm honestly having a HARD time understading how come this beauty hasn't taken off.......It has all the damn elements for an excellent game.

Overview: freak accident makes MC futa and she is struggling with it. (There might me some sort of sinister plot brewing unbeknownst to MC and other people so it's got a tinge of mystery).

Pros:

1. Writing is top notch, along with humor and pop culture references. Lucas is hilarious
2. UI seems very similar to another massively popular title but this game adds its own charm as well. Phone app is really extensive with ringtone settings, social media, texting, Gallery, secret scenes etc.
3. Characters are show-stealers! Absolutely beautiful and unique personalities.
4. Music is so well chosen along with sfx. (Alarm is hilarious ).
5. Mc is nice and empathetic.
6. Has a bunch of choices based on how you want to react.
7. Facial extension changes and H-scenes animations are pretty good. Like I'm mean for real, they have a unique feel to them with how the frame shifts and moves.

Cons: Honestly, I have no complaints or suggestions. Game is early so there's no explicit paths since we are still getting to know em'. I would enjoy more lovey-dovey stuff down the line

Verdict: Abso-fucking-lutely pick it up! It's really good slice of life futa with such likeable cast. Honestly, you will really enjoy it even if you normally play male protagonists. This is really well done! <3

Finally, a good female futa AVN joins the ranks of handful of other games that know how it's done.....

I really enjoy where this VN is headed, a little disappointed at how early in the story it still is.

The renders are really great, nearly all the characters are very attractive. The animations are...different. In some ways they are nice and smooth, but in the loops the transitions get really staccato. Also, in many of the animations the bodily motions seem almost unnatural. Its not enough of an issue to detract from enjoying a playthrough. Its just an area the dev hopefully improves with more experience.

The writing is good, the premise (though far-fetched) is interesting, and the story so far is enjoyable. Even though its quite early there are a large number of characters set up to further develop and get some fun scenes with. It seems like the next update will likely be where the lewdy good times really get started, though I'll likely wait a few updates before jumping back in to make sure.

Art: The models are very gorgeous, with a good range of diversity among the girls.

Story: It's simple - the female MC grows a penis because of a scientific experiment, but the dialogues are actually good and make you interested in the girls.

Gameplay: I haven't seen a single error, it runs pretty smoothly in terms of a VN.

Female protagonist/Futa protagonist: Thank God it's a VN with good-looking models and the MC is not some bimbo whose only purpose is to open her legs to some dudes. She can actually choose to romance other girls.

Also, "Wincest" is there.

There are several good futa protagonist games out there and this is one of them. It's not the best, for various reasons, but it's enjoyable and shows some signs that it might climb up my personal ranking when the plot starts to move forward.

Firstly, the MC is a tall lady and this is referenced in the plot. I liked that she is not just the cutie next door as is typical for many of those games. Depending how you play her she definitely has some character to her.

Secondly, there are interesting character dynamics in this game. The relationship with the mother is rather superficial, but loving nonetheless. Some of the close friends and even some of the meanies in this novel show great signs that they are going through a character transition and that they have multiple layers to them.

Third, it's a very slow-paced game, which I appreciate. The novel starts out as a lesbian corruption game and turns into a futa game due to a certain event that I don't want to spoil here.

Finally, there are plenty of secrets yet to be revealed, which keeps the suspense. Especially towards the end you get the impression that the developer has many things in store and that, maybe after chapter 2 we are just starting to see what is really happening behind the scenes.

I would recommend this as a very solid futa protagonist VN with lots of potential. It's a bit uninspired at times, feels more like a corruption game than a true character study, there is a questionable rape scene on which the MC reflects though. It shocked me a bit but felt less triggering as the plot progressed. Also, with the futa lore (so to speak) that so many AVNs share, things like that have to be expected.

After I convinced myself that this wasn't Jill from 'Being A DIK'...I started to enjoy this game. The 'experiment gone wrong' scenario, was a bit daft and slightly absurd but it was funny. However, the game darkened after that event and there was a definite change in atmosphere between the characters. I finished this version of the game feeling slightly perplexed...
I look forward to future updates and I wish the developer good luck moving forward.
[Edit] Just played Episode 3 and it was brilliant...this game has taken off! What an absolutely beautiful episode that was! I am definitely going to support this developer, they really hit the nail on the head, got their shit together and learned from their previous failings...the ending to that episode is wow! Seriously wow! You have to play it to understand.
It also has a sinister, supernatural feel to it...the 'family' of blue-eyed people who aren't related to each other...and, of course, Pippin...the Praiseworthy, Omnipresent, Philanthropic, Pharmaceutical, Inspirational, Non-Prescription Sugardaddy, who, happens to be a leprechaun...with rainbows and shit!
Wild! I can't wait for Episode 4!

Great Futa game... Great writing and graphics, developer shows some emotional and funny side, showing a human way to treat som situations and not making everything about sex. I'm really looking forward for chapter 3.

Yes. For only having two chapters this one hits it out of the park on production values, and is very solid in length as well. I didn't time it or anything, and I was listening to the World Cup, but I think it was around two hours which is a hell of a lot considering there are games on here a decade in development that haven't hit ninety minutes.

I think the screenshots demonstrate clearly the best and worst things here: the characters and their models. First, I didn't find anyone attractive and the worst offender is the MC. Sure she's infinitely better than 90% of VNs that have midget 12-year olds with footlongs who everyone loves (self inserts.....) but she is really, really odd looking. She has jowls and a weak chin, and her eyes are just fucky for me; overall, she just looks really off. And it doesn't improve with the other characters as well, Marianne specifically is like a cross between a Barbie and a GI Joe. Uncanny valley all around for everyone.

Also, there are way, way too many characters so far. It has to be about thirty or something by the end of chapter two which is a bad sign considering as development continues there will be more and more added. Since being negative is my favorite activity I'll also point out that there are EXTREMELY worrying signs that there's going to be a dumb AVN subplot about an evil villain or corporation or something retarded that adds nothing and only serves to melodramatically detract from humor and porn.

Everything else is great. As others have said, this has solid DIK vibes without being overtly a comedy. Very lighthearted and entertaining. I had a real smile on my face pretty much the entire time I played which always is a good sign: besides that one hint at the end of what's here, I very much enjoyed what's on offer and can't wait for more. Plus, it's really rare to have a factually-correct futa and not a dickgirl or ladyboy. Shame the only sex so far is a rape, but......eh whatever.

I absolutely love this game!

It reminds me of Being a DIK, but not due to similar characters, stories or concepts but the overall quality of the game. I do not have a single complaint regarding this game. The characters, the story, the renders, the animations, just about everything in this game is well done. And I really appreciate all the small details from character intros/profiles via a lot of truly funny dialogues and scenes to the extensively implemented cumshots.

For me it joins or maybe even surpasses Futagenesis Unveiled as the #1 futa game/VN on this site!

The game has good renderings/animations, girls are cute and various expressions are nicely(some look weird though). Music sets the atmosphere right.
I'd say audio/visual wise it's pretty good

However,
We get bombarded with characters early in the game but interactions are barely there. It's just like constant this is who and this is who. Probably won't remember who they are when they reappear couple of chapters later.
I would rather have them introduced if they were playing a meaningful part.

The weakest link in this game is the jokes. Honestly man.. Reel it in.
Too hammy for my taste. And that Lucas dude.. Ugh.

All in all, the game has potential and is worth your eager wait for the next update.

I gauge how good a game is based on how I feel when I reach the end of the current version.

Review after finishing Episode 1.

So far the game offered a lot of variety of choices.
Additionally the phone is not completely useless for once.
The thing I look for the most is the character logic and it delivered.
Looks promising, while some renders look uncanny I can look past that for the sake of content.

Wish the devs good luck and will definitely keep tabs on this one.

Gonna try and review more games on this site, and do it in an orderly way based on the factors important to making these adult games work so as to be helpful to discerning folks who want to know if a game is gonna do it for them. Here goes!

MODELS: 5/5. Huge diversity in the types of bodies and faces present, and all of them are at least somewhat sexually titillating. At no point does it feel forced when the MC comments on how hot someone is: we're agreeing, not just being told. There's occasionally a little excessive expression in some of the faces, but done in the course of conveying different emotions and personalities. The MC is especially hot, though she's not without competition, and her 'transformed' body looks and feels as organic and realistic as the original.

SEXUAL CONTENT: 4.5/5. It's not unending - there's breaks here and there to establish characters and storyline - but nudity and sex happen often enough to keep the player chugging along and their blood up. Buttocks, breasts and dicks sway and jiggle delightfully, angles show us pretty much exactly what body parts and facial expressions we want to see, cum jets are plentiful and rewarding, and the seeming recurrant choice between dom and sub roles for the MC is an excellent topping. All that's needed is perhaps a bit more kink and action - but that may well get fleshed out as updates come out.

GAMEPLAY: 5/5. Little to no grind, interface is simple and intuitive, just the right amount of choice given to the player (too many choices would mean more and more dev time having to go into routes which only fractions of the playerbase would take interest in); and plenty of Easter eggs hidden across the story and within the very fun social media app and the other smartphone-based items (a wonderful game dynamic which the dev should definitely keep updating along with everything else).

WRITING: 5/5. No tedious, endless sermons, but the stage has been set for plenty of character development and thematic discussion. The MC's narration establishes relationships and personalities well, and NPCs bring that out with consistency, whether they are adversarial or allegiant to the MC (and each set of different relationship dynamics adds to sexual tension and anticipation in a different and exciting way). Good characters make for good media - the writer has done a superb job so far. And on a personal note, I'm especially excited to see more content with the MC's mother, with Hannah, the three Mean Girls, Farah, Lateshya, and the neighbour family.

All in all, an instant addiction for me - playing Having a HARD Time guarantees me an exhilarating and relieving private-time. So long as the dev stays true to how they have started, and pans out the story and relationships along with the original promise they have shown, they cannot update this game often enough. Five stars.

First off: I'm not an expert, a connoisseur of art and literature. I'm just a guy who likes porn games for what they are: porn.

But this game got me hooked. I'm the guy who usually starts with enabling Skip and just starts with pressing that Ctrl. And yet, sometimes, very rarely I change to just pressing Enter and reading the lines. If you are like me, you know this feeling. It's the feeling when you find a game where you start to become interested and then invested in the story and the characters.

Of course, it helps having high quality visuals, great character models and amazing sex scenes. The thing is... there is about 3-4 actual sex scenes (and only 2 involving MC), the rest are handjobs, masturbation, blowjob. But you know what? I don't mind. I want to know how things are unfolding between MC and Marianne, what happened to Hannah, what's the deal with Lisa, what is the deal with the experiment... And of course, can I get closer to the big titty nanny and have some fun with her.

I can't emphasize on how really rare it is for me to care about a porn game's plot. But this one did it.

Good models, the menu of stats/characters very well made, the story interesting, the erotic excellent but the peak of the game i think was the ending of CH1 (the contemplation) EPIC!

This honestly came out of nowhere and surprised the hell out of me.

Its been a while since I became invested in a VN story and characters, and while this has a lot of standard tropes for the genre, there characters have some depth to them and have some genuine emotions and deeper moments.

First time in a while when I hit an end of content screen and cant wait for more. I need to see where things go with Lisa after confessing to her, want to see if Hannah is more than a cartoon bully trope and best friends to lovers? if so it is a trope im all there for. Not to mention the mother is hot AF.
