I missed the last few days of what ended up being a serious discussion about the identity and motivations of the characters, particularly that of Marianne (best friend, LI). I do agree that some aspects of the plot and overall storytelling are... um, questionable so far but I am of the mind to give the author/ dev some time to continue working before offering criticism or judgement. In other words, let them cook.
Therefore, rather than debate comments already made (though I do want to object to labeling her as 'whorish'), I would like to add three things to the discussion.
1. Marianne and the MC were supposed to have the "talk" - where they address the first kiss and reveal their true feelings etc. What they did talk about (the incident) was barely scratching the surface of what happened and it didn't do much to address the emotional repercussions for them both. Which is okay, of course. You don't go to one therapy session then suddenly declare yourself cured.
Anyway, that "talk" then got put off until after the party and then again the next morning after the sex. So the author/ dev kicked the can down the line and we have to wait for the next update before we get a deeper exploration of Marianne's feelings - not just her desire for more of that dick. Ultimately, we know a bit about the character but it is also fair to say that there is more to come. As with most stories, a character's depth and emotional development takes place over time. It is a bit reductivist to talk like we know all about a character & her motivations when her story is, quite literally, still being written.
2. We learned that your choices regarding Marianne and her current BF can lead to a sharing path where Marianne continues to see the BF and the MC. How that plays out is still unknown but what it does tell us is that how we define the personality and character traits of Marianne is somewhat up to the player as well.
Sometimes we forget that we control more than just the MC in some of these stories in ways that are not just divided between the traditional AVN corruption and love paths.
3. It seems to me that Ryu is possibly being set up as a potential LI. I may be misremembering this but I want to say that an interaction or two offered initial corruption points or something like that. You are all free to correct me if I am wrong... just saying that's what I sorta remember. At some point I will go back and replay the current episodes to confirm.
If I am right about that assumption, the MC might not stay full lesbian. If that is the case, and if a sharing path is open, there is the additional possibility that the MC could also fuck Marianne's BF (Peter?) and/ or other male LI's.

So, of the three points above, I only mention the second & third to help underscore the first. And that can be summarized by simply saying: Let's wait for the author/ dev to finish telling the story. We might feel quite a bit differently about each of the characters (including their motivations and choices) - and the story as a whole - once it has ended.
