We're continuing the story with Ren'Py while making the transfer to Unity at the same time.

We want to implement specific mechanics, such as mini-games, free roam, cafe ranks, and more, in an engine better suited for these types of features.

Hazelnut Latte isn't just a Visual Novel anymore, so we need an engine that can handle that.

I hired another programmer to facilitate the switch.

So I'm guessing since you're switching form Ren'Py to Unity were gonna have to start fresh? Since I doubt Ren'py saves can be transfered to Unity.

The backer code for the 0.12.4 is 047293.
If this game will ever get updated you can find the new one yourself by unpacking the game using UnRen (can also be found on F95), and opening game/screens/preferences_screen.rpy with any text editor. It's the very first line, saying "default correct_code = ".
I don't even know if this code is any usefull TBH, i've just stumbled upon it while trying to figure out if "Hazel will remember this" is a bad thing or not.

That's right. But we're also redoing a ton of art and animations from Episodes 1 through 5.
