Optimization still hasn't happened as far as I can see.
unable to save settings.
The game is on a m2" SSD and yet it acts as if my computer is outdated, slow as a snail, loading nothing, doing this for ten seconds.
Cyberpunk didn't do either that
complete lack of optimization.
I don't know if it's because of the engine or the careless manufacturer, but this is not good.
It wouldn't hurt to start something with this.
Hey how are you?
The settings are saved without problems in my machine. Here you have a change of settings, save, and reopen the game.
Here's a normal load of the game (i3 9100f, 6700xt, old SATA SSD):
Load times are a bit slower right now due to the dynamic loading of the characters, as I explained in a comment above (Also in changelog, and version info in the first screen). This is to reduce the build's size and lower RAM consumption while playing.
But if you're going to compare a demo made by a single person for $1,300 a month against a game with a budget of almost $400 million and a proprietary engine (which was unplayable even in its first year), you'll never be happy with this one.
I'm constantly working on improving it and fixing bugs that appear (if I'm not mistaken, the first version was on April 28th). I do practically one update a week (I publish one public a month), but there are goals that wouldn't be realistic if I tried to compare it to a triple-A game (or even an indie game with lower graphics requirements).
In short, could it be better? Of course. a lot.
Will it be more optimized in the future? Sure, but not at the level of a budget that monstrous video game companies have.
On the other hand, if your problem is due to a bug (the game never loads, crashes and closes, etc.), I have a bug report section on Discord where I can easily help you with some information.
Take care!
Played the updated version, and i'm amazed how far you have come with this game keep it up !!, also i do not know if it has been mentioned so i apologise if it has but, will there be any jiggle physics within animations eventually ?
Hey, thanks so much! Yes! The physics are there, but there are some issues with the collision calculations for each character (for example, the chests of the bar NPCs move much better because they have a fairly large and generic collision rig, better for impacting with the pelvis). So, it's very likely I'll have to improve the collision rig for the other characters (I think Katherine's physics also work quite well outside of the house (other rig than the maid one)).
